VS 61/62 .82AR twin remote 5.3 setup?
I have a 78 corvette that I have swapped a 5.3 which is stock except has summit stage 1 8719 high lift cam, pac1218s, moly 5/16 pushrods and a dorman LS6 intske. Exhaust is full RI ebay SS 1 7/8” long tubes and dual 3” with xpipe all the way out the back. Also running a Holley term x. Trans is a built 700r4 with a 2000 stall 12” converter.
i have a pair of VS 61/62 .82 T3 turbos that are brand new and I was thinking of putting them on this car. I was thinking of keeping everything and swapping turbos in where the mufflers are. Realizing a smaller .62 AR would be better suited for this type of build. What do you guys think of this and when spool could be? I have a pair of 38mm wastegate a I could use as well.
ideally it would be a smaller DIA exhaust, smaller AR T3 but that would require all new parts lol.
im not looking for a all out hp build and I would probably run these at low boost 4-6lbs. I would need to get a scavage pump and run pressure side to the front as well as an oil feed line. Even if I had full boost by 4k that wouldn’t really be a horrible thing as this will just be a street cruiser anyways.

I’ve never built a remote mount setup but it sounds like a neat project.
From what you said, you already have almost everything to make it work. You’d be out your time if the thing doesn’t work as well as you want.
There’s always going to be the “It’ll never work” people but I say give it a go if you’ve got the stuff.
I think you could probably optimize it by changing a few things such as the exhaust size up to the turbos, but it’s probably not worth changing if it’s already installed and if you are only shooting for lowish power.

Think you answered all your own questions for the most part. My .63 T3 GT35's aren't exactly what I'd call super responsive, and they are mounted very close to the manifolds up front. Stalls way too tight and velocity will be non-existent with 2 long lengths of 3" pipe and the housings are relatively large. A single S366 would be a much better choice, and even then the rest of the setup is so far off it won't be responsive IMO.

i have a 5.3 with ebay .63 t3 6162s and manual transmission. mine are mounted up front attached to stock 2010 camaro cast manifolds. turbos are pretty lazy but you know when they wake up.
