Big Power T4 Turbo's I know people know and run the PT88 which according to their website is rated to 1250hp. But has any one ran the PT8847? Rated to 1400hp. http://www.precisionturbo.net/Street...r---PT8847/287 |
I went with the PT8847 for the LQ4! No where near running yet, but I found a lot of good information from google about that turbo with similar builds! |
The PT8847 is one bad mofo. Its pretty damn big but it will make big power too |
I wonder if anyone is running into back pressure issues with it? |

yes, it's a small housing and turbine wheel for 1000+ hp. Only way I can see a pt8847 making 1250-1400 with a T4 housing is on a small cubic inch motor with a lot of back pressure. Also the PT 47/88 compressor cover isn't nearly as efficient as the larger GT47/88 cover. Not knocking the pt47/88 just not the best option past 800hp. |
811whp at 15psi is damn good imo. Never got turned up as it broke the T56. |
