Well, that sucks, but I know you're not the only one that's ever happened to. I hope you'll have that thing up and running soon! Love to see that thing in person on Woodward.

well a little overdue on updates for this, sucks that the motor blew but figured id finish up the fab work before i ripped it out, this is where its becomming fun for me finally seeing the car come together got almost everything ready to go just waiting to pick up the 4.8 from my buddy, havent decided if im going to put a bumpstick in it just yet or not i think im going to stick with stock for now and just start working on building a more reliable set up out of the blown 5.3...
anyways enough of the boring stuff here is a few more pictures of where im at as of right now, when motor is swapped will be painting and wrapping all pipes and also changing up the radiator hoses so they arent rigged up was temporary.
By the way, summits aluminized pipe welds like ****
stay tuned for more updates, hopefully before its too late to drive i can have the motor swapped out and ready to go for a couple drives so i can start to learn how to tune

finally on the road with this thing, got lucky with the motor, everything seems to be doing great, so far ive been up to about 9-10 lbs trying to get the car dialed in for boost tuning afrs are super super rich with my base tune so working on safely leaning that out, car seems pretty responsive though building 10 lbs pretty quick the 3400 converter probly helps that seems to hit about 3500 or so and be boosted pretty good but havent really been building boost fast because everything is pretty far off tuning wise.. so far the AEM has been decent software to work with have had it flake out a couple times while logging which sucks. here is a short video of what it sounds like, just another turbo car

I'm actually using an Aem series one box that was for a Honda but has been converted over bought it off my buddy here locally with harness seems to be working pretty good so far have boost cut at 10 lbs and it gets there in a hurry at wot. Loving the car though got about 60-70 miles on it so far even in the rain lol.. I actually need to change the waste gate spring so it only makes 10 lbs for now then I can actually do some wot runs at higher rpms also

been about a month since ive update, have put quite a few miles on the car, a couple weeks back i hit a massive pothole in our wonderful state of michigan, and cracked the truck oil pan which shouldnt even be on the car, so got that swapped out and back at the driving and tuning.
so far i have been able to get close on the fuel table still at 10.5-1 or so, but it needs a lot of work as far as smoothing it out and transitions etc,
the timing map is way off need to try and figure that thing out soon, if anyone has any good 2 bar timing maps for a similar setup i wouldnt mind seeing a picture or something to get me pointed in the right direction.
right now im at 20* at 1 psi so i know its leaving a lot on the table.
TEAMBABYSOFT lol
