Default 800 + rwhp stock LS3 short block with F1A

Pushing a stock LS3 short block on pump gas and a big cam.

Specs before the blower install
  • LG Super Pro Long Tubes and exhaust
  • LG G5 Velocity CAI
  • LG G6X3 cam kit
  • LG ported LS3 heads (11.4:1 compression)
  • FAST 102 intake
  • NW 102 TB
  • ASP underdrive
  • Centerforce DYAD clutch
  • DSS shaft and axles
  • Weld RTS 17" wheels
  • 93 pump gas

Before blower numbers vs how it first arrived to us. (517 rwhp)

The above graph was how the car arrived to us about a year ago vs the install of the FAST 102 combo, G6X3 cam, LG ported LS3 heads, and full LG Super Pro exhaust. As you can see it would a stout NA build from the get go, and all components were left un-touched before the blower install.

Procharger front mount 3 core intercooler

F1A Head unit going on

Race by-pass valve

F1A kit finished.

Alky Controls Methanol kit going in

The car is still running on 93 pump gas with the same heads and cam...for those of you that don't think you can force a G6X3

I love seeing this. Too many 'you can't run that cam with boost' pros around here sometimes

The low end is pretty stout too, I bet its a blast on the street. Nice build.

Needs more displacement for sure...but not to bad of a bottom end on a centri blower car....gotta love the F series blowers.

Possibly later this year we will try a bit more boost and see where it takes it.

Is that 4.5 blower pulley? Also curious about boost, but if I had to guess about 13

curious how it would tune with just the I/C or just with the meth, as opposed to both-I have run W and W/O intercoolers, seen some pretty high temps-been curious about just meth kits and no I/C, sometimes the plumbing is a nightmare, or you don't want to cut up the car in case of future resale
cool build, nice power

That is correct, it is a 4.5" pulley on it. Standard lower pulley from ATI

How big of a belt are those systems? They look like a 10-12rib setup. Is that tensioner spring loaded or static? Just curious as I know nothing about the 5th gen setups.

yeah I almost spit out my beer when martin sent me the specs on my cam for my F1-A 390 car that were going to run on meth and korn. those are great numbers for 11psi. wondering what 16-17 will end up doing on my setup. my compression is not that high though :/

great work. can we have some details on the timing and afr.

It's a 12 rib and it's a spring loaded tensioner. I've been working on a Camaro very similar, it has a 4.25 blower pulley and we make 17lbs (15 before the larger inlet)

Love that 5th Gen. Having seen a few videos of it running in the Street Racing section that thing runs very well.
