Precision PT8891 CEA

This turbo has been around for a while, maybe a little over a year, but I cant find a single review of anyone who has used it in any application. Looking at it as a real option for my forged 370. Uses a T5 flange and billet wheel and from the description sounds like the best thing to come around in a while. Anyone ever used one? How quick did it spool and how does it compare with the other 88mm turbos? Thanks

I know why, because its almost 3k and you can make 1200HP with a cast 76R for almost 3x cheaper. If you wanted room to grow you could move to the billet s480 from forced inductions which made 1250RWHP on a 370 already and its still half the cost of that turbo.

Jessica Barton runs one on her Supra and it seems to do quite well. That's on a 3.0L M6 engine as well. Personally I think the money could be better spent elsewhere.

Hi Volume 01-25-2014 11:45 AM

what the hell does a t5 flange look like?

Ahh okay, supposedly it's a T6 flange but the inlet holes are slightly different for the "mid frame" turbos

I was just curious if it really spooled that much quicker than say a GT4788 and still had the flow advantage of a T6 turbine. If it were really that good it would be worth it in my opinion.

Anybody ever use this?

If it spools faster than a GT4788 and outflows it... that's not a bad deal.
