Default 4.8 rods vs 5.3 rods which is stronger?

Just trying to figure this out since the 4.8 is longer and will have less of an angle especially with the shorter stroke.

From what i have read the longer rod should be stronger. But is the 4.8 rod thinner in some areas or what? I have not seen a picture of the two side by side before so have not been able to compare.

The reason i started thinking about this is guys end up bending the rods after making such and such power. Would they be able to push it harder by running the 4.8 stock bottom setup vs a 5.3, 6.0, 5.7 ect. stock bottom.

FWIW Truckin mag did the exact same thing with a gen3 5.3 (weaker rods). Made even more power.

The rods aren't "Stronger" they just have less stress on them. So IMO, you could push one a bit farther if rod fatigue was the main issue. 2005+ are physically larger/stronger rods for both the 5.3 and 4.8. Most bent rods are due to detonation from what I've seen/read. Thats why there is such a large HP range of rod failures. Some bend at 400whp some 800+.
