I ordered pistons and im waiting for them to show up. I run on pump gas 92. The motor will be 9.1 comoression and will prob run around at 12lbs and more with race gas. I figured 22-24 on ring gap but im curious what guys are running for piston to wall?

run what is suggested with the pistons. I will say it will be 4 to 5 wall clearance.

Ya that what I figured. Do you think .0055 is to loose in the bore and will it piston slap like a mother? I really dont wanna stick a piston in the bore. Its a iron block 5.3

It all depends on fuel and how hard your going to push it. I went 55 and I made 900 on gas.

If you want more power then that I'd go 60ish

IT is truly a streetcar so I run it on pump gas 92. I do plan on turning it up once and awhile. The pistons I ordered will put it at 9.1. I was thinking .0055 also. Just wanted a second opinion so thank you. What is your setup? 900 thats making some power damn
