No idea what you're describing.

Sounds like two different things.

This -10 coiled loop...that's some sort of breather only in use during filling ? And the purpose of the filter ?

That would...should have nothing to do with venting of the tank once the cap is closed up which would require some sort of breather/rollover valve.

Coiled around the filler neck, used for venting at all times. Filter purpose: to not have debris/dirt fall into tank from vent. I guess you would have to be familiar with this tank design/application. I am not the first to have this issue, and all the threads have expired pictures and a lack of posted outcomes.

You're not the first to have the issue, because it sounds like an incredibly bad setup.

The vent should have a rollover valve to allow fresh air in/out, but never allow any liquid past and certainly never if the tank were to become inverted.

Sounds like if your tank became inverted you have a fill -10 hose ready to empty its contents everywhere. That's just insane.
Not motorsport in the UK would allow you near a track like that

Is the vent and return labeled on the tank? If not, have you tried swapping them to see if there is a difference? I had issues with the tank being overfilled, but not leaking.

Well, made a good test hit today. For some reason, I am way over boosting. I'll attach a screen shot for viewing. What are the chances both waste gates are seized? They are TiAL. Removing the passenger side wastegate is very difficult and I'm trying to do that as a last resort. I had the driver side wastegate apart to drill/tap for the dome pressure sensor, is it possible the diaphragm is leaking and not opening the gate?

I am going to apply regulated air pressure to bottom of gate and see when it cracks.
  • Bottom of gate is plumbed to compressor outlet
  • Top of gate is ran to a CO2 system that is currently completely unhooked.
  • Gates are TiAL 38mm
  • Gate Priority shouldn't be an issue, see picture below
  • Spring is unknown. * I think it was green *

Edit: screen shots show 22.5lbs of boost in first gear. Hit a max of 23.9lbs when I peddaled it and it hit 2nd gear.

Is that a normal location for those gates with that housing? I'm not familiar with it, but it appears to be in the downpipe. Is there no other place to have the gate for better placement?

Normal location. The turbo hangs right on a cast iron manifold, there is virtually zero hot side. Pictures for those not familiar with this twin kit.

If you dont know what spring is in there, kind of hard to say it is overboosting. That implies you know what spring you're using and know it is exceeding this.

Apply pressure to the gates from a regulated source and see if they open as expected, then you'll know when they should be opening, and if they are functioning
