Talking Twin Turbo|370|TFS 220|4L80E|MWC 9"|Holley Dominator

Hey all,

Thought I would share the build I'm finally getting around to. The car is a 1999 TA WS.6. Street car that will drive to the track.

370 Callies and Diamond forged, TFS 220 as casts with slight BTR port work, BTR cam shaft

Jakes Performance stage 5 4L80E - D3 trans brake

MWC fab 9" - Strange S-Trac - MWC panhard bar, parachute mount, narrowed 3" per side
MWC 8 point chromemoly cage

Holley Dominator ECU - Gauges

Nasty sumped tank and lines (tried ordering today...)
Holley 12-1800 pump
Holley 160 lb low impedance injectors

APS twin turbo kit - Will be ordering DKT turbos Monday. Would really like to hear some opinions on which turbos to go with and not be forced to scrap the entire APS kit besides the manifolds. Goal is 1000 RWHP+ on kill, with long term goals of maxing the cage out at 8.5.

Still to order: Viking coil overs and Street light with black anodized centers

I'll get some pictures up soon. Not much to look at right now, though. Comments? Advice?

1k+ rwhp goal might be a little too steep from a 370ci, 4L80E and a t3 flange inlet turbine housings. But I could be wrong. GL!

This is very similar to my build aside from the turbo kit. I've got a 370 with TEA TFS 255 heads and a jakes stage 5 4l80 and dominator ecu. That pump will be done around 1000-1100whp on e85

Look forward to seeing your results

I have a pair of S366 sitting on my desk! That was the original plan, but finding an AC kit or even someone to make a kit is difficult. Found this APS kit and jumped on it. Planning on the 6266 Gen2's, supposed to be rated at 1350. I don't want to make any changes to the cold side or exhaust right now though, so I think the 6766 might be out of the question. Inlet tubes must be upgraded either way.

I am planning on 93 octane, only because E85 isn't plentiful in the area.

Anyone looking to buy a pair of brand new BW S366s? They won't fit with this kit.

Here's how the car sits currently. Don't mind the old A-arms, I'm trying to keep something stock on the car for awhile.

I'll PM you with a price. Would prefer local, shipping might get expensive.

Right at 9.6:1.

Cam was spec'd for the twin BW 366's, I think it will do fine with different turbos.

Anyone have any experience with the Precision 6266 Gen2 turbos?

I think you'd be fine with using the journal bearing 6266s and save you a lot of money. Local guy just made 1250whp at 21psi with them and still has a lot left in it

On an APS kit? I'm looking for the largest turbo I can put there and still utilize the stock exhaust parts the kit came with. The cold side may be a tad small for the larger turbos, but I hardly think it will effect things enough to warrant fabricating new piping.

Question:

Can I drill and tap a coolant temp sensor into either of these locations? The APS turbos have the TFS coolant port being used. This is with a Holley Dominator harness and ECU.

I received the wrong injector harness, so it is kinda halting the start up. After talking with DKT and discussing options, I think I'm going with the 6766. The 6266 Gen 2's would get me where I want to be, but I would still have to fit a 4" inlet cover and piping. With the car being a full weight street car, I think I will eventually need the extra air the 6766 offer.

plenty of guys tap the water pump. Pick a spot that works best for you and go for it.

Default Turbo?

Did you sell your turbos? If not, what are the specs on the compressor and the turbine wheels? AR's on each side? T4 correct?
Thanks Jay

There is a local guy I'm in talks with. T4 with .91 A/R.

I'll post up here if they don't sell locally.
