Default A little Forced Induction wont hurt, right?

I just swapped an LS1 and T56 into my 91 camaro. Its got just a cam and longtubes for the moment. I love it. Period. Most fun car I have ever owned.

However, I have always wanted a LSX car with a t56, with forced induction. Two down, one to go.....Forced induction.

Honestly, I want to do it for the fun factor. Im not hung up on HP numbers, or 1/4 mile times. At the moment its just a sweet street car.

My goal here is to have the beloved whine of a supercharger/blower. Boost up the power some. And hit the roads and have some fun!...........on a budget.

So with out too much researching, I am thinking of finding a well known supercharger that came factory on a common vehicle. Nothing crazy, Maybe an M90, or m122. The plan here is to just sit back, and look around for good deals, and slowly piece all the parts together, then take a week and install. The end result would be a thirdgen LSX camaro, with a supercharger. It'd be something different. Something cool. Bad ***.

One of the biggest obstacles Im sure that I would face is space. I have more room in a thirdgen then most other lsx engine bays, but I would prefer to run the stock hood.

I know it's pretty vague, but what do yall think? Is it worth doing for the fun factor? I am about to do ALOT of homework, but figured I'd ask you guys aswell.

I have a m112 on my stock ls1 in my 3rd gen and love it. As long as you aren't hung up on big HP numbers its a great system for the street. The low end torque output is a great match for a heavy street car.

Here is one from way back in 06 when I did the initial LS swap before the addition of the supercharger and new wheels.

Thanks LS1 iroc. Im about to visit your build thread.

Actually just found pics of your car on TGO with the supercharger. Noob question, but what all did you have to do to get the supercharger to sit directly on top of the motor, vs remote mount and keeping the lsx intake.

95wannabe here is my thread. I haven't updated it in a while.

I just bought the GTO LS1 kit and bolted it right on. If you want to remote mount a blower, use a Procharger centri supercharger instead of a PD blower.

At risk of sounding like a highjacker with a Shameless plug......
I will be putting my Maggy up for sale in about a week.
MP112 kit for Fbody
- excellent condition
- 60 lbs siemens injectors
- 8 rib system (no slipping )
- 1:1 rear pulleys
- oversized 8" balancer pulley
- 3.1" rip cut upper pulley w/ quick change 4 bolt upgrade
- heat exchanger & pump & hoses.
- fabbed throttle body assembly
- k member spacer
- magna booster for fuel pump
- 2 new 8 rib main belts
- 1 new rear belt
- air filter with carbon fiber mount ( KN vette style)

This system fits the exAct description of what your goals are. It will never be a Dyno queen ... But will deliver more fun than you can imagine. The whine of the SC turns heads & puts you in your seat violently. I loved this system until I got the urge to go overboard with more more more. Either way, if your interested PM me. We can discuss a good deal. I went through plenty of agrivation figuring this project out, at least someone should benefit from my time, energy & boat loads of money as it pertains to the trial & error of this & that. The 8 rib system alone was a beast to get configured but worth the effort & money.
You will need.
- fuel pump ( don't take a chance on stock) at least Walborow 255.

Alright, I know have a little box labeled Supercharger Funds. Lol.

Nitro0mm I am not ready to buy just yet. I have to let my funds grow. Anyone willing to donate, feel free to shoot me a pm.

So why are superchargers so fun, yet don't dyno well. I could care less for the numbers, but am curious.

The Procharged dyno numbers I've seen are very good. I would go the Procharger route if it's a supercharger you want.
