Default Maxed out my on3 76mm .96 turbo.

So I dyno my car with the new glide and ptc 3700 stall with the full intention of hitting 750 or bust. To my dismay the $300 turbo petered out at a mere 640 rwhp @ 10.9psi. Can't complain too much I guess.

Seems like a lot of power through a glide/stall on that tiny turbo and only 11psi.

What else is done to the car?

A TC76/75 or PT7675 would get you to 750-800 or more maxed but the S475,476,480,482 will do it aswell for a little cheaper but more weight.

I've seen an out of the box S475 make similar numbers. They are rated to 1050 HP by borg warner (which is about 10% conservative), and that is what they were rating them to with an as-cast wheel on the stock compressor. Add in an extended tip wheel, billet compressor wheel, and race cover, and you're probably looking at a 1100+ whp turbo. The $649 S475 is still good for ~950-1000 wheel though on full tilt.

Aren't the Borg turbos huge in size compared to others?

Exactly... the borg warner is huge in comparison to the pt76/75. The precision would be a direct replacement. The borg warner would mean building a new turbo kit.

Btw I'm running the Huron Speed V1 kit. With the XS power 38mm wastegate. Not too shabby for cheap parts I guess

So your confident you could go to the 7675 and not change the hot side?

My PT7675 went in right in place of the old MPT70. Just needed a 3" silicone coupler.

I've got all my pieces to start my build other than a cam and injectors. I'm going to start with the gt45 since I already have it. I'm sure after a bit though I'll be looking for a better turbo. I wonder what turbos would swap to it?

I would have to slightly modify the downpipe. because the PT7675 has a 3.5" or 4" exhaust housing

Jon at Huron sold me a 7575 Turbonetics to go with my v1 truck manifold kit and said it fits perfect. Not sure externally how it compares to a pt7675 but I think they are pretty similar.

I edited the PT7675 in there right after I posted and didn't correct that part. Oops

Yeah, you found the limits of the small 65mm turbine wheel, a 75mm turbine wheel set-up will really wake it up!!

A Precision 7675, Turbonetics 7875, Billet 7575 all are direct swap and direct bolt on units, nothing would need to be changed. Simply remove and replace!

Let me know when you're ready, we will get you the very best pricing!
