small turbonetics build

ive decided after retiring my daily driver to do a turbo setup,im not very familiar with turbo setups or anything and im not looking for major power, rite now so im looking at options and looking at turbonetics T04E-50, 3" the truck is a 01 with a 5.3 toped off with a 78mm fast intake, would this be a good turbo to start with what I already have?

Buy my TC78, it would be perfect for what you're doing.

I'm not just trying to sell you a turbo, that t04e is way too small for what you're doing. It would just be a restriction.

No that's too small. If you want small, run a 66mm or a 70

H8R 06-24-2014 07:54 AM

yup, way too small! Maybe two 50's.

Superman09 06-24-2014 08:07 AM

What are your goals and what do you want out of the turbo?

blackout5.3 06-24-2014 10:59 AM

Playtoy mainly with the dependability of a driver, mid 450 late 400hp range

blackout5.3 06-24-2014 11:01 AM

Now would both the 50mm be to much for it? Or would the power range equal out bout the same as a larger one?

Bimmerdude 06-24-2014 02:09 PM

Twin T04E's would be fine at low boost levels you will exceed your power goals.

blackout5.3 06-24-2014 02:50 PM

As long as it's manageable at low boost that will be fine
