Cool Stood up the radiator! Kept stock AC condenser!

Loving it! Had to cut the bottom radiator support, cut most of the top out. I'm going to clean it up, but figured I'd post here since I only saw one more person that has done this. It's no easy task!! Lots of curse words and scratching my head. I had to mod my hood latch. I had to twist the radiator support, then bolt it in, then weld it. The condenser barely fits in my ws6. The AC line I had to re-weld, had to be slightly longer (the top one) .. I got the 3" griffin radiator, with the 1.25" tubes. On a 100deg day, I've seen 185 temps. My IAT sensor has gone slap crazy though. Need to figure that out. Pics will come soon. Any questions ask away! If you PM me choose "e-mail".. I don't log in a lot.

What is the advantage to do that?

Now I can run a big turbo, and it's a lot more efficient, it stays a lot cooler. Previously, my turbo was TOUCHING the radiator. Not good. Every time I got into boost my temperatures would go crazy (200+)

What are you doing for fans? I'm afraid it won't be enough based on other users results

Derale 16925. Stays super cool.. I put foam around the condenser and radiator to force the air through. Haven't had any issues. Stays 180 or below. 190 with ac

Well awesome, congrats! The folks I've seen have issues are stop light driving in 90+* ambient temps.

So you just mounted the stock condenser on top of the griffin radiator and the derale fans on top of the condenser as pushers thru it?
