Been quite a while for me.. mini build log: EDIT now with numbers
My beautiful '00 WS6 met an unfortunate demise at the track which left me all but inconsolable, so in an effort to ease the pain I picked up a fairly clean '99 T/A roller for a pretty good deal to replace it. As luck would have it, the '00 turns out to be perfectly repairable which opened this one up to a new world of possibilities... and it was just a matter of time till 'turbo-time!' came to mind.
Started things off by focusing on the suspension, complete Mid-West Chassis kit (K-member, UCA/LCA, manual rack kit, SFC, TA, rear LCA, panhard & Viking coilover kit at all four corners), Nasty Performance 'Stage III' fuel kit (AN feed and return & a Lonnies built twin 340 pump kit), battery relocation. Interior is stripped completley, single Kirkey and Mid-West Chassis roll cage (yet to be welded in). Motivation wise, pretty simple actually. Iron 5.3 with an LS9 cam, PRC stage 2.5's & LS6 lifters, LS6 intake & ported TB, and all of this being fed by a Huron single kit centered around a Turbonetics 78/76BB.
Still have quite a ways to go, working out several items like oil return, electronics etc.. but the goal is to have it ready for FL2K in October. Would love to see mid 800's w/ meth, but I'm not going to look too far down the road just yet!
A few pics of the story of 'Chicken Little' in progress..

Been a little while so, not a bad time for an update I guess. Car has been up and running for about a month or so, finally got it to the blessed hands of Mr. Formato and had it dialed in on the dyno. Also, another first, just took it to the local 1/8th mile this past sunday, same place I wrecked just over a year ago. Can't lie, felt a little strange, almost erie, but in the end, no parts or fluids lost so it's a successful shakedown. A few photo's & pics of how Chicken Little sits today:
Clearly I need bumper supports, you can see my bumper doing the harlem shake..
Car ended up making 602whp @ 12psi, unfortunately my night was cut short, that first video is actually the last run, and the smoke you see was the result of the crank pulled decided to take a stroll off the crank snout! Thankfully it didn't come off completely and no damage was done. One LS9 spec crank bolt later, and it was off to Immokalee regional raceway for a little runday sunday with friends.
Doesn't come across too clearly, but the car kept wanting to point at the wall every time it'd roll hard onto boost. Like I said, at least nothing broke lol!
Still have several bugs to work out, but it feels good to get another Fbody back on the streets

Important note: I realize I didn't address this, but despite my original setup listed, the 5.3L that I put in the car wouldn't make any oil pressure at idle. After swapping a couple different oil pumps and trying a handful of other tricks, I had to yank the 5.3L out and swap all the components over to a Gen IV 4.8L I had laying around. I reached out to Martin @ Tick who again came through with a great boost-friendly cam for my setup along with a set of Morel lifters, otherwise it's the same PRC headed hardware as the 5.3L. Looking for 750whp+ on 116 soon!

Got some C16 numbers last night, little 4.8L is making some good power at nominal boost levels, makes me excited about the extended potential!

Slick car. Did you go with another iron block? Gutted interior and pig heavy iron block don't make sense to me. The small bore sleeves in the aluminum block has thick walls, and will handle that power safely for years.

You said you're rocking a single seat, right? Removing the stock passenger seat alone probably made up the difference in weight.
I didn't realize you had the other motor sitting around already. Makes sense to use what you have.
It's just any time someone goes through the effort to gut their interior to reduce weight, it seems counterproductive to use the iron block... Unless you have one sitting around, of course.
