I thought you guys drilled the extra hole in your brackets. There is one unused bracket to blower bolt (3/8) that for some odd reason ATI doesnt use in the bracket. I thought it might make the bracket prone to crack there but mine has been holding up fine. Takes like one minute to drill and countersink it (the blower makes a good impression of it on the back side so its easy to locate if the bracket is used). It makes the whole thing a lot more solid.. I dont have a pic of mine off the car but i'll mark your pic Kyle. Without the extra bolt you can pry the blower away from the bracket - using it the head unit doesnt budge.

I used to get a ton of free t-shirts when I worked in the grocery business, hard liquor, beer, cigs and the occasional racing promotion/beer shirts and I never paid attention to the size of them, all I know is that is all I wear now lol. I have BIG MUSCLES YAH! lol:D

Blackbird May 21, 2004 04:49 PM

I didn't get a T-shirt and I waited 6 months and still waiting on 1 part !!!!

Well I am glad you guys are getting taken care of at least.....

Looking forward to seeing how you like it tommorrow.

Heath, What are all the washers and 2 different size bolts for??? I know soem of the washers are for the standoffs...... can you explain it since you have your kit?? This is Kyle posting under my friends account at his house..... im about to start...... letting car cool down......... Iron holds a little more heat in...... I have a fan on it.

your block may be different but on the ones I have done, you use 2 of the thicker washers per standoff to space out the blower to get it aligned with the crankpulley.

show me what bolts your talking about. the only one I can think of is the little guy to bolt the support brace to the blower.

Also please note you must remove the tensioner from the assembly in order to bolt the bracket back up. Seems obvious to some but I had to ask because I thought maybe there was a reason they shipped it bolted to the bracket.

Again may seem obvious but put the washers between the standoffs and the bracket. Not on the other side. Look at my pics if you need to.

Do you mean the top spring tensioner or the middle one? I want to be sure I have all this right before I get mine in.

Kyle,
Scott just looked at your pics and said where you have the wahsers is fine...
Usually it takes .250" (2 of the thick washers) to line it up but you HAVE to check it with a straight edge like Heath recommended in a previous post somewhere...the two different 5/16" 18 bolts are for the support brace...you have to pick one...use whichever one fits the best without stretching the blower over and without bottoming out...put it on the oilpan first...stick the shim in to fit snug(pick any combo of the 3 washers) then try the 2 bolts to see which fits the best...

frcefed98 May 21, 2004 07:25 PM

RIGHT ON! MY STUFF SHIPPED TODAY:gruffy: I WILL HAVE IT TOMORROW. WENDY@SDCE IS AWESOME.:hail: She also had ATI NEXT DAY MY S/C PULLEY TOO. SDCE ROCKS.

any updates?

frcefed98 May 22, 2004 12:33 PM

I got mine in at 8:40 this morning and the s/c pulley at 9:30:hail: Its 11:30 now, I wasn't use to the gap between the crank pulley and the balancer being so wide, but the SDCE crank pulley is quite a bit deeper than the other pulleys I have......I thought something wasn't fitting right but after looking over blackbirds pics again:whew:
Now its time to put it all up....back to work.
