Need a nod in the right direction on a turbo lq4 build
Kinda new to these engines, need a nod in the right direction.
Want to do: - single blow thru turbo lq4 block on e85
- turbonetics tc76 blow through,(maybe w/o intercooler since E85?)
-extreme velocity carb hat
-quick fuel q series 750 cfm blow thru e85 carb
-vic jr single plane or performer dual plane manifold (vic jrs capable of only 600 hp, not sure about performer)
-livernois stage 3 ported 243 heads-not sure bout these other than their cathedral ports match the IM's
-brutespeed FI cam (232/240 .595/.608 115)(comp 7.40 pushrods, comp timing chain)
-forged bottom prob thru texas speed--dragonslayer crank, eagle h beams with arp 2000,wiseco pistons(not sure which cc for this setup) steel top rings, coated clevite main n rod bearing, HD tool steel wrist pins, balanced of course)
Not sure what kind of HP this will make; tell me if you have an idea. Dont really have a goal yet, just want something fun to build and drive in as a weekend driver/ occasional drag car. If I had to put a number on it, id be happy with 5,6,7,800+ HP, whatever is reliable and realistic. Im still sifting thru these forums so if you can help just off the top of your head before I find the info, dont be afraid to give some input. Im just here to learn. Thanks for your time.

Yeah the turbo is a turbonetics tc-76 'vanessa' with a .96 a/r. wanted something that i could feel while on the street. Could anyone shed a little more light on the intercooler on e85? I hear yes and I hear no. I saw a reply on a thread with someone with around 1k hp on e85 with no IC. Ill do a little more digging but if anyone knows, the info is appreciated. Additionally, i was trying to set up the bottom end to eventually support a twin turbo setup. Anyone know if these parts are capable? Thanks again

I am running e85 and no meth but I did do a cheap air to water set up. It won't hurt and as posted above can definitely help. I would also vote for a bigger turbine. If you just want reliable and relatively quick spool the $650 Borg Warner s475 with the 96 mm turbine is hard to beat.

Great thanks for the help guys. I did a lot of reading on the borg warners and it was either or. Bigger turbine, better price, I will go with that. I read some guys were saying that e85 and meth was questionable but 1 injector seems to have proven well. I think a w/a IC would be an easier system to setup tho. Anybody have any input with piston cc's? -2 or -3 flat tops or -8 or -10 dishes? Thanks again
