Default sts turbo leaking oil out exhaust (hot side) while car is not running

Good afternoon,

I need some help on a problem I recently noticed. I have a 2005 gto with a sts turbo system, never had any issues until recently. I noticed oil leaking from the exhaust while the car is parked and not running. My first guess is a bad oil check valve.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Thanks for the input, ordered a check valve today. So I'll start with the cheapest fix. As far as I know oil scavenge pump is working it's loud and clear when car is on. Maybe not working at full potential.

Is it a diaphram pump or bronze gear? Id check the flow output just to make sure its actually pumping. Im leaning more towards the check valve though. Oil is actually still dripping in the turbo for a while, when you shut the engine off. Until I install a check valve on my feed, I usually just let the pump run for about 5-7mins aftet I shut the truck off. Im contemplating having a catch tank mounted under the turbo for this exact issue.

I fabricated a small sump under my turbo outlet to give what oil is left in the line somewhere to go. I also have a circuit that I made that powers the pump relay for 30 sec after the engine is shut off.

It's a bronze gear pump. I'm all guessing it's the check valve due to the fact it's leaking oil after shut down. Check valve is not closing as it should. Should be getting the new check valve by mon.

I was thinking of putting a catch can but not much room for anything down by the turbo due to ground clearance issues. I'm curious what your setup looks like. Thanks for all the replies.
