PB Ran a 9.75 at 140mph.....now what do I do?
So yeah I've had this goal of mine to run 9's for some time. I finally did that this past week and now I am kinda in a limbo here. If I want to run any faster (8's) I feel as though I need to completely retool my setup which I don't want to do (time/money). I can probably work on the suspension and maybe add a little more timing/turn up boost a couple more pounds and shave a few tenths off but not sure if I want to do that as the aluminum block probably won't like it too much.
Here is a video of the runs. Only did 2 that day. Car ran great.
Anyway, yeah, I'm not sure where to go from here. I love the car don't get me wrong, just don't know if I have another goal to shoot for. This has got to be common to finally hit a goal and get to this point, right?

Your setup is fine, work on the suspension, 1/8 mile times, take some weight out, crank that boost up!
Kurt Urban once said stock ls1 block cylinders can become out of round when at 1200crank hp. I'm guesing your race weight is heavy and through a 4l80e , with your trap speed, I'm guessing your around 900-950crank.
7675 has been proven to make 1000+rwhp on v8s so crank it up!

I think im just going to enjoy driving it and will bring it to the track here and there. The whole 'street car' thing can be a slippery slope and the more I do the more I can compromise my wanting to drive the thing. I do take it all over and feel that the setup is so spot on for response, fun, and drivable. That's the big reason I prefer the pt7675 for my 346. Just the little things like having a full exhaust I didn't want to remove because I like it quiet and loud with the cutout open. I dunno, I suppose if in the spring I get that itch I'll start working on the lq4 I have in the garage.

2) Think about what you'd like to do/learn next. You're obviously making a buttload of power, maybe you could dig deep into suspensions & how they work, or switch to a different intake type, learn about how that changes the behavior of the combination. How might you be able to absolutely shave your 60' times to the bone?? Or HELL, this is a real crazy thought - is there a road-course anywhere within driving distance?? How about you learn how to drive on a track with curves??!? There's a LOT still to learn, you just have to decide where you want to take it...
