What truck manifolds are really made of

Nope, all seemed fine.
I'm crap at welding, so went pretty slow too. Maybe that helped get a lot of heat into the entire manifold.
Plus I welded as much of the extension piece as I could first before tackling the cast/steel interface again to let it heat up as much as I could
It's been on the car and running for almost a year and no problems at all, which I'm actually surprised at lol.
Turbos directly hanging off the manifolds, although do have one support on the right side below the turbo, and to a degree the downpipes would also offer support.
Low mounted twins. My downpipes extend back about 14-16" then into a normal slip type joint where they join the system. I did not clamp this though, as wanted to leave some room for expansion/contraction with the setup.

I use coat hanger rod and they have been holding up pretty good for a few years.
Just kidding, I just tig them without preheating and no issues for 4 builds so far

Surprised anyone has any issues ever with cracking etc.
I've never really welded before and just bought a welder, some manifolds, and vbands. Ran maybe 6 tacks and then burned them on with the heat and wire speed cranked.
2 years now and maybe 5-6k miles without issue.
