Those are damn near carbon copies of the slips my truck was printing in the 8.99-9.0x range. Awesome job.

Did you ever get the car scaled?

That's awesome, love this car!

I'm curious what it tips the scales at as well. What was the DA during the 8 sec passes?

The car is around 3350 lbs and 3600 lbs with driver. I just looked and da was 2100-2700' between the two passes.

It weighed 3665# with me in it at the track right after I got done running a 5.60 in the 1/8 mile.... I did have to poop, but I am pretty sure it weighed about the same the next day when I ran the 8.64 and 8.73 quarter-mile passes
The DA is always very good at Pacific raceways, if it's not raining, it is damn close to sea level

That's a dangerous game. I like to make sure my bowels are clean just in case anything hairy happens. Congrats on the hard work paying off!

Car had 20 psi oil pressure after this. I think he found the limits of the stock crank, flexed it and wiped out the main bearings. He's not sure if he will stick with the stock crank or update to a forged unit.

Maybe the main clearance was too tight?

Very possible but he thinks the crank is bent. Seems to be common around this power level. He ordered a K1 crank so we will see how far this turbo and block will go.

Nice.
I worked with my builder to make sure 2 and 4 had more clearance. We could see evidence that those two were a little tight when I took apart the stock short block after two years of running. Of course I didn't know what the stock clearance was, and I wasn't making power like Zach is. And it's an alum block......

It's hard to get a consensus on what is correct in these boosted setups. So hopefully his builder takes this in consideration. The K1 crank will help!

I'm stabbing my engine in today. Maybe, just maybe I'll get it in the dyno then make some hits this year before the rain shuts us down for the year.

Went down to LS Fest West in Las Vegas and ran the car a little bit with a stock bottom end 184,000 mile 5.3 with 706 heads. He swapped his cam in, head studs and LS9 gaskets. Also switched to a billet S485 (beast). Car was having issues launching hard but ran 8.9's all weekend around 156 mph on 22lbs of boost. We than decided to hit the dyno, on 22 psi it made 930 rwhp.

He really wanted to break 1k so we said screw it and put 40 dome psi on the waste gate. Ended up being 27 psi of boost and made this

Really wish he would have ran the car Sunday and maybe turned it up a little more on the dyno to make around 30 psi or over 1100 rwhp

Sorry I didn't record early enough
