Default Twin Turbo fender exit exhaust

I'm building a "street" car. I was wanting to know how loud, inside the car, is exhaust that is dumped out behind the front wheel without mufflers? I have two 3" down pipes. Thanks!

I have a 383 sbc with twin t3t4's mounted high front. Its in a 64 Skylark. We took the pipes sideways and mounted two mufflers in the fenders directly above the wheels and out infront of the firewall. Kinda like the el camino from street outlaws. Its pleasant sounding but still pretty loud. Without the mufflers it would imo be too loud for street use. It will start as fun but will soon get old.

Loud!!! I started with straight downpipes, then added small race mufflers right behind theturbos & still to loud. Now made aluminum downpipes behind the race mufflers with vibrant mufflers. It's better but still loud & I don't like the sound now.

I have a fender dump, it's not that loud. I've had mufflers that were louder. My car is definitely a street car.

Get some cheap pipe or that flexible stuff and try it out. Fender exit is to loud for me though. I don't want any attention being paid to my car. Besides i can barley hear my turbo.

Waste gates dump straight down. The setup sounds amazing. Smooth sound at idle and builds to a jet figheresque howl at wot, but surprisingly less loud. Will post video as soon as it runs again, we ran into oil pressure problems with our brand new build.

its probably going to be pretty loud. mine dumps right off the turbo to the ground and my ears ring after im done riding around in it for a while. Im working on getting it to run through the K and dump under the passenger seat but im not sure that will help.

To many personal preferences to answer this question. Everyone will have their own opinion. I've had my twin 3" pipes dumped right behind the front tires and it was fine cruising around. Turbos make excellent mufflers. Obviously when you get on it, it's outrageously loud. I could deal with the decibels and though it sounded good. The only reason I went out back was becuase of the fumes.

My 68 C-10 with an LS and single GT45 had a straight 3.5" DP that dumped out from under the edge of the passenger fender. It was quieter inside (outside I think too) than my current truck with a regular exhaust on it. That is, until the wastegate opened

I'm running two ss vibrant bullets on each side. Haven't started it yet, hope it's not too loud.
