Turbo Silverado 4WD Launch Video
Just a little 0-75 mph 4WD launch. Truck is a 99 RCSB Z71, 33" tires, 4.8L, LS6 cam and good hardware, S372 turbo and E85, 19lbs, 4L80e. I had a couple small leaks preturbo and a couple cold side leaks that I've finally fixed. I also upped the boost. Fixing the leaks made a HUGE difference.
It went 11.6@117 last year on 15lbs, it's a whole new animal now with the fixed leaks and more boost. Wish I could track it, but all the tracks around here are closed. Oh, gotta raise the limiter just a tad, not quite enough room between the 1-2 shift and limiter so you can hear it touch it. Will be fixed tomorrow.
Anyways, that is all.

That is great. One question, what transfer case are you running with your 4l80? I want to swap a 4l80 in my Yukon and keep the push button 4wd. I wasn't sure on the wiring, if if is any different on the 3/4 ton transfer case from the 1/2 ton.

I have the pushbutton np246 and all I did was swap the input shaft in the transfer case. Go ahead and put a case saver in there while your at it.I looked into buying a 3/4 ton tc but they were pricey. Input shaft and case saver was less than 200 bucks and I installed it myself.

Yup they're the same. Just swap the tcase input shaft to the larger 80e unit and you're good to go. I got lucky and just bought a while 80e/tcase/driveshafts combo. Just had to change the lengths of the shafts and good to go. There are also simply ECU mods you can do to use the stock ECU to control the 80e.

Perfect. I know about the wiring and tune swap for the ecm, I did it on my 68 c10 with a 5.3/4l80e swap, just didn't know about the 4x4 differences. Just what I needed to know!
