Default Front mount turbo guys, how did you run your support?

Looked at a S475 last night (same body size turbo as my S483 I ordered). It was BIG and heavy as I figured it would be. It got me to thinking about what the best way to fabricate a support bar for the turbo, and I couldn't really come up with anything.

With that big and heavy of a turbo, I would not think the sheer weight could be properly supported just by the turbo piping alone.

Please post up what you did to support your turbo (pictures appreciated).

Not sure if you're looking for a bracket or not, but here's how I mounted mine in my Nova. Sorry for the grainy pic, I ha to zoom in. The bracket is also now cutout around the flange of the turbo.

On my current LT1, the hotside builder (RealQuick) included a turbo support bracket he made out of boxed tube stock and some 3/8" thick flange. My up and coming 5.3 will also have some support. Too many guys report cracked flanges from unsupported turbos so I'm going to get the support setup too.

Custom machined 316 stainless brackets to be welded to T04 304 stainless flanges from Vibrant Performance sandwhiched between the turbo and connector pipe from headers. Pass. side.

Drivers side. Still have to drill & Tap the March aluminum brackets.

Utilizing the March front runner brackets.
