Anyone use the Innovate SCG-1??
I know this is a fairly new product but I pretty well planned my entire cluster around using this gauge and already have all the other gauges on order from speedhut. I was planning on an AEM Failsafe and stumbled upon this, pretty similar in price to the AEM but has the added boost controller, plus its a lot nicer looking.
I'm not looking to some crazy expensive controller or I would just buy an AMS 500 or an eboost 2. Just wanted something with multiple functions so I have less clutter in my dash.

Thanks for any input!

I've been looking at this too. Once I price $90 to $200 per gauge spending a bit under $400 (after looking online) for the SCG-1 seems like a good deal. I get Boost control up to 4 BAR, Wideband A/F control, programmable shift light, Boost Gauge, A/F gauge, and ability to log A/F, solenoid duty cycle, MAP, and engine speed using a laptop and Innovative's FREE software. Then I can ditch the AEM A/F gauge that's in the car (not hooked up) and hopefully pocket a little change.
Eboost 2 looks good to me because I plan on using Meth and can control it via the Eboost. I guess I have to research more and see what fits my wants/needs more.

I think im gonna pull the trigger on it next week. Pretty well the last thing I need for my build and ones my speedhut gauges are in I can build my cluster. I will be sure to make a review on it when my car runs.

I look forward to the review jay rich. I'm sure I'll have already purchased one or the other by then though. That's how it goes sometimes.

Certainly for the price, it does sound like bloody good value.
Not sure how configurable the boost controller might be, but having the wideband built in, a lean safety trip linked to boost control would place the feature as more functional than the likes of the AEM.
Assuming any lean or overboost condition can actually be fixed via trying to reduce boost in this manner ( ie a hose coming off or faulty solenoid etc...this feature can do **** all )

This thing is still uses an old serial port. I have never had good luck with anything that needs a usb adapter.
From the instructions,
"Connect the OUT port of the SCG-1 to the provided serial
programming cable. Connect the other end of the serial
programming cable to your computer. If your computer does not
have a serial port, you can purchase a USB to Serial adapter from
Innovate Motorsports (P/N 3733) or use any USB to serial adaptor
that includes drivers. Make sure that nothing is connected to the IN
port of the SCG-1"

USB-serial adaptors are a bollox. Some work, some dont.
If you need to use serial for a lot of stuff, it can be best to hunt down a good used laptop that has one.

I have personally had this happen: I had two lc1's working and communicating fine to my laptop thru a usb to serial adapter. Then my buddy bought an innovate MTXL and it would not communicate to the laptop but I tried the LC1's and they communicated fine. Ended up using a different usb to serial adaptor per innovate's request, and low and behold it worked great on all three.

I have this installed in my car. I really loved the idea of a WB and boost controller all in one, especially since i needed and was gonna buy both anyway. it has many safety features to protect the engine from overboost or lean conditions. For what you get for the price is outstanding i think. I paid $365 ish online. Didn't get to log alot of miles or time on it yet because the big freeze and salt hit the streets. But so far im really happy with it on the new turbo setup and it made me feel safe being able to watch boost/AFR at the same time.

Well good to hear someone liking it. Its been way to cold go go out and work on mine much. I did get the gauge and it came with literally everything including hose.
Here is the dash setup I made for it with Speedhut's GPS Speedo, Tach etc
The Display is a Maxi-Guauge Maxi-Display (custom built to my specs with shows MAP,IAT,EGT,Coolant,Oil temp, Oil Pressure, Trans Temp and TPS). Also has warning lights for high/low. I added a LED above the screen after this pick and added some simple push buttons for the menu.
