Default how to hit the 800hp family

Guys and gals I will start off with I know the search function and have been using it, but I am also unsure with the route to take and some specifics......

I have an 07 tbss LS2 obviously.

I would like to put her up near the 800 range and the 10 second family. My future is taking me in a path where money is going to be a little more free flowing and I'm going after this goal......

What I am looking at is this thing just started a small valve tap at certain rpms and throttle input (not to concerned at the moment)

I have thought of putting an F1A and keeping the tune mild with a cam and Holley hi rise looks 1 7/8

Or......

402/408 build with a D1 and supporting mods alike.

Or.....

If the funds are that available a 402/408 F1A build.......

I'm not looking at the most expensive way to build this it will still be a budget style build but can y'all help me with what would be a safest streetable route to go and some of the specifics. Cam, fuel system, heads 243? 317? Switch to car manis? Holley hi rise? Mid rise? edelbrock? Can a stock lq9 130k miles bottom end hold a 7-800 power range.... The trans is already being addressed.

Thanks in advance and again I am doing research and all just want to see if I can get a compilation of responses and debates. If you have met these goals please post up videos and specs and all of what you've done

See sig.

A D1 or F1 will meet your power goals on a stock LQ9. D1 would obviously leave you with less room to grow, which you will want to, believe me. 317s or 243s are the same, just decide what compression you want and pick the head accordingly. Im an E85 fan but pump/meth is a valid option too.

I wouldnt spend the money on an intake if your goal is only 800ish. Spend that money on a good fuel system. Talk to one of the sponsors (Tick, LJMS, etc) on a cam, they have some good ones out there.

That's what lead me to the F1 idea simply because if down the road I wanna stretch to 4 digits it'll be easily capable

Are you AWD or 2WD? What trans are you planning on using.

D1 or F1 on stock longblock won't get you 800rwhp. These heavy pigs aren't dyno friendly. Those 4.10 14bolt rears and 20" kill power on the dyno.

stock ls2 and a decent turbo

blower options are really lacking imo, expensive and do not make good power till you have spent thousands on belt, cog, custom, stuff and they are loud and annoying etc

Awd and the trans is going to be built by a local shop. Turbos are not an option at the moment. And now with a small valve tap I just noticed the other day I assume she'll be getting some internal loving lol

I'm confused. Do you have an LQ9 or an LS2?

I've seen a mostly stock LS6 (stock bottom end and heads) make 800 to the wheels in a C5z with a YSI. An LS2 with a similar cam should be able to make and hold that power easily.

I've seen a D1 make 800 to the wheels in another vette but not sure what LS it was feeding.
