Default stock lq4 fuel pressure regulator and boost

So I see people always mentioning going with a 1 to 1 regulator for boosted applications. But this lq4 is a jy build. Slam it together and drive it on the street. It will never see the track. I'm going to sump the tank, run a inline 044 pump and I have some 80# injectors. Is the stock fpr and stock rails going to work for my setup? I'm only looking to make 500-600whp at the most. Gen3 rods bla bla bla.

yes if it is a return style regulator most are adjustable with the small star in the center. and they will add pressure 1 to 1 with boost. I run the same pump and injectors as you and a microsquirt ecu. I turned my base down to 50psi and have had no issue. at 10# boost works perfect.

Sorry to bring an old post back to life but I found this thread doing a search. I too plan to use the truck rails and regulator w/ 80lb injectors. Any idea how much power you can make on this setup before upgrades are required? I have the push on fittings for the stock lines at the intake, running a -8 feed and a -6 return. Thanks.

I know of claims of up to 850 rwhp on truck rails. Depends on base pressure really.

It will vary a lot. Stock regulator locked at 58 PSI can still make tons of power. You could see 800+ with the right setup.

Ok cool thanks for the replies. That's past what I'm wanting out of this car so I should be good. That will save me a little cash as well

I figured the rails would hold plenty of power since they are so big, just wasn't sure about those hard lines that run to them on the intake.

-6 or 3/8 line is capable of a lot more power than most people will ever make, yet they feel the need to spend money for bigger.

1200hp can be made in most newer stock fuel lines with enough fuel pressure.
