Start to finish, how much did you spend converting to an aftermarket ECU?
I'm coming up on the point in a FI build where I'm going to have to decide whether to use my factory ECU or replace it. And my HP Tuners cable isn't working now for some reason. Before I spend another 500 on a replacement cable (plus debate switching in a newer ECU than my '98 ECU), I have to consider purpose and options. Regardless of which way I wind up going, I'd like to see what the typical cost of switching over to an aftermarket EFI unit costs people. The main module cost is easy to see, but after harnesses, relays, replacing factory gauges, etc, etc, etc... What do you think you have into your system?
Thanks

stock ecu to holley dominator efi on my car with lcd screen, transducers, boost solenoids, all harnesses etc I did it for about $3500 with a few hook ups. You will lose your stock cluster with the holley though. I was worried about it but got over it fast when I saw how much more you gain with the lcd screen

Cannot remember where but I have seen the Holley HP for 1405$.
And megasquirt is 1200$ for a comparable unit that's ready to go and does not have a wife band included like Holley as well as some lacking features but has more inputs and outputs.
I'm going with Holley when I'm ready for the boost.

Depends on if u want to control trans. Holley hp wont do it and u would need a trans box or go with a dominator setup witch would cost u more than the hp set up. I have 2500.00 in my holley hp with us shift ,boost controllers and 3 sensors.
