Sounds like you have everything planned out really well. I look forward to seeing your results. I am doing a similar setup (LQ4, S475, E85) in my Foxbody but it won't be running anytime soon.

Thanks guys... I plan to start dis-assembly of the old setup this Sunday. I don't have all the parts yet for the new build, but as they arrive and I continue to dismantle the car for its transformation I will be sure and keep this thread up to date as well as post pictures of everything.

The main reason why I like doing it this way, is it keeps me accountable and gives me the motivation to keep going through the hard work.

Not only will the car be going under for a turbo build, but I also have a 10 point cage to install with some other safety goodies.

Good luck man. Lot of good parts and a great game plan.

On a side note: did you decide to go turbo because the NA power got boring? Your car made a lot of power in NA form.

Thanks man! I decided to go turbo because that has always been my dream setup. Obviously the car still will not have my "dream" setup, but I'll be a lot closer than I ever have lol.

Eventually it will be an S488mm (Or around that, maybe even billet) front mount powered by a forged 416 LS3.

The NA power of my old build was fair for a 346 I thought. Made 435rwhp through the TH400 and 9". Gotta love those unlocked converters lol I just got an opportunity to go boosted, and took it.

Don't blame you at all. I'm having a really bad internal battle right now on the direction I want to go with the car. I pretty much know I'm not going to stay NA, but I haven't decided if I want to go turbo, or buy a used D1SC Procharger setup. I like the bolt on simplicity of the D1SC, and it wouldn't require me to change anything on the car, with the exception of the fueling setup, which would need to be upgraded anyway. I would run e85 with either setup, and if I go with the D1SC, it would be required, as my compression right now is around 11.5:1. Turbo has it's own appeal, but requires a lot of fabrication, and it seems like the turbo setups nickel and dime you to death.

I mean they both have their benefits I guess. You can get "bolt on" turbo kits as well. 11.5:1 is a little higher than I'd like to be pushing boost, in my opinion. That's why I'm selling my TEA heads, because they've been milled .030".

From everything I've been reading, the higher compression will be fine with e85, or meth, or both. I may elect to use both anyway just to be safe. I guess the appeal of the Procharger is the instant power/torque, and the fact that I can leave everything I currently have as is.

I'll be following your build closely. I have no doubt it's going to turn out great.

As promised... Pictures and updates.

Update is: All parts for the motor have been ordered, except cam and injectors. Planning to talk to Martin tomorrow, and will place the order for the cam. Also will be calling WS6store to order the injectors this week as well. The engine should ship this coming week, so engine and parts should arrive together. It shouldn't take long to have everything reassembled and back in. Ryan at UMI is shipping the tubular K-member as well tomorrow. Turbo will be here Thursday I believe.

Also like to give my buddy 93Camaro__zzz a huge shoutout!! Thanks man for the help. (Just so you guys know we did a cam swap/tune in a pristine 64K mile WS6 Saturday and did all this work today) We on kill mode right now lol

Some goodies showed up this evening. Turbo, head studs, 3 bar MAP sensor, and Pushrods. I also sent my torque converter back to TCS for a re-stall and to be tightened up. I think were gonna shoot for the 34-3600 range on the stall. While I was at it, I went ahead and picked up an MSD 2 Step.

Can't wait to get the rest of these parts in and start fabrication. I still need to rip this interior out, and get this cage/"weight savings plan started". Just trying to take it one step at a time.
