I couldn't believe it either, but he was like "maybe, send me pics." Worked out perfect. As you can see, this one is somewhat rare in that it is a "Pillared" sedan deville. They only made 7,230 of these to the 83,XXX hardtops. I made up my mind about the crown vic front end right after going through this thread. So many pros, zero cons. I will probably grab the 8.8 too. My goal is to be cruising this one by the end of the summer, could be lofty but we will see! Main goal really is to have a running and driving project ASAP, then go from there. Lots of rotted trucks here that are perfect donors, just waiting for life to calm down a bit and I will have my pick on dozens examples on craigslist. It is 6 degrees here today, but my garage is surprisingly cozy. Still getting settled but will start soon!

I did notice that, couldn't figure out why It had a post, but not a longer back door and not same back roof as my car or a fleetwood

It's different for sure. Every single sedan you see is either a fleetwood or a hardtop sedan deville. Dare to be different I guess! The hardtop is definitely better looking and the lack of post with the windows down is only too cool, loved it on my '68 Catalina that I had. Its ok, this car will still be badass and I can't wait for it to warm up over here so I can get down to business! Happy new year! Cheers to a very accomplished and fruitful 2018!!

It's the factory one of the 04 3500 express van. You could also just tee into a single return line, I just happened to have this, so I used it

What's the extra fitting on the PS pump for, mine only has the pressure and return, but I need to get another because the return was crushed. I guess I could cap the upper fitting if that's what I ended up with.

Well, had some time off form work, and while working, had some time off from the car lol........

So, in the last couple of days, made some progress with the floor system.
Material is 1×1/2, and 1/2×1/2.
Thinking I'll keep what would be the backrest of the rear seat area removable, I'd like to do it with some aluminum diamond plate(of all the pickup tool boxes I've given away, really like to have one now).......

I'll work on it tomarrow also, I'll tie in the front of the shifter mount to the firewall then work on the tunnel pans....yay.....

I dig that shifter, actually have one in brass, its been known to "accompany" me on occasion, lol
Looking good, a few projects ago I gave up on the cheap clamps and bought all Vise Grip, makes a huge diff.

Thanks, it's good to have "multi-purpose" items on ones car........
The clamps are a mixture of what I could scrounge from the shop, and really made this a lot easier.
The floor is so mangled looking from when I went to town with the air hammer from underneath the car for trans tunnel "modification".......
eccessive?....yes.
having to try undo eccessiveness....yes.
