Default Good machine shop in Albany NY area?

I have all my parts to start putting my engine together, but I want to have the machine work done at a shop that has a lot of experience and a good record for LS engines. Does anyone know of some within 100 miles of Albany New York 12205?

Work I need done are machine block for pistons, deck block if needed, line hone mains with studs, clean, install cam bearings, balance rotating assembly, check for proper clearances that I spec and order correct bearings.

Boyd's Motorworks, in Gloversville. 725-6089 Been my only shop since 1993, just did a 6.0 LS for me, all items you listed plus bronze lifter bores. Turbo deal, plus valve job on my heads, assembly, etc. I've had a lot of success using them, and DeNooyer has had a ton of motors done there. They're having two blown LS motors built there right now. My .02

Is that Jack Boyd? A couple of my friends use him, but I didn't know his level of experience with the LS. I will give him a call.

Thank you.

Engine assembly in rochester ny did my forged nitrous 5.3 and it ran like a raped ape. They do anything from 700+ cubic inch chemi motors to small ls motors. Bruce and his son dave run it good prices and good people, me and Dave race together in the pro index class at Empire dragway in buffalo ny.

Yes, it is Jack. He has done a bunch of LS stuff, some local guys were racing the Camping World asphalt series, with LS motors, and he did all their stuff. There are a few local street/drag guys using him for their work, also. He has the BHJ fixtures for deck plates and lifter truing, as well as state of the art balancing and honing machines, purchased fairly recently. He knows what he's doing, for sure.

Bedells Racing engines in Nassau did the machine work on my boost ready 5.3.
He's a very busy man though. A week or two ago he told me he had 30 racing engines to do after mine.
