Good work!
I had a bbc/no2 70 nova with a nearly identical bracket. Easy & it works!

Thanks for the compliments!

Fuel system is all done now. All of the wiring is done with the exception of wiring in the cooling fans. Battery is relocated to the trunk. Just got a few more small thumbs to to and it should be up and running by the end of the weekend.

I left the positive cable extra long so that i can add in th master kill switch later.

Thanks! Should be running by the end of the weekend but not on the road just yet. Still need to install the 9" rear diff, caltracs, shifter and take it up to the dyno shop and finish the tune. And my New wheels won't be here till beginning of May.

I have been working on the car just haven't posted any updates in a little bit. After I got the thing filled with antifreeze I noticed that both head gaskets were leaking coolant! Turns out my heads have the "notch" in them and won't seal up with mls gaskets. Pulled them off and bought a set of newer heads and threw them on there. Problem solved!!! I've had the car running but it doesn't run well, it's extremely rich. Probably just gonna take it to the dyno and have my tuner get everything nailed down from there on the tune. I got the 9" installed, just have to plumb the brakes and finish installing the caltracs. Went with a full spool, 3.50 gears and 35 spline axles.

Got my new champion wheels yesterday. Had to do a little clearanceing on the back but after that they fit great. Car is pretty much finished up just waiting to get it to the dyno to get it tuned. Soonest I could get it in to the dyno shop was the 26th of may. Just been double checking everything I did trying to make sure I crossed all of my t's and dotted all of my i's! I'll post some numbers once I have them.

Nice job!!

Everything looks great, you have awesome fab skills!

Just as a heads up I notice a huge difference in spool/overall power when I have my exhaust open vs. closed. Same setup as yours, 4" downpipe connects into dual 2.5" with chambered mufflers. I have a 4" electric cutout right under the passengers seat.

Thanks!! I've Got a dump welded into the down pipe so I'll Probably leave it uncapped most of the time unless it starts to gas me out or the sound is to annoying.

Thanks!! As long as everything goes good at the dyno on Tuesday I'm gonna start putting the cage in it as soon as I get it home! I'm really hoping I can get this thing into the high 5s in the eighth. That Will make it some what competitive in the street car classes around this area, if not then I guess I'll bee building the 6.0 I've got sitting next to it and be shooting for 1000rwhp! One way or another I'm gonna make to make this thing fast!!! Lol!!

The numbers are in from the dyno. Put down 704whp and 606wtq at 14.7psi. Was blowing through the converter pretty bad and maxed out the fic 1000cc injectors on e85. Pretty Happy with the numbers now I can't wait to get it to the track, shake it down and see what it can do!!

Very nice. Power numbers are good at that psi. I've been lacking on my updates and after all the late nights in garage I got mine running and was tuning on street at 5psi and spun rod bearing. So now I'm building a forged 5.3. Car looks great.

Uhg!! That sucks!! What are you using for rods and pistons?? I've got a 6.0 sitting on the floor of the shop thats going to get built to replace the 5.3.....eventually. I'll be shooting for over 1000whp. For now I'm just gonna try to get used to this thing, took a couple of short drives and it's a monster!!!

Looks good man! Saw pictures of it yesterday on the dyno. Pretty good numbers for sure. Just about finished up with my 6.0 s475 cutlass (e-85). Hoping about two weeks. Then would like to get it down to Joey and hope it makes similar numbers. What year 5.3 did you use? Curious if it had the floating pin rods. I might have missed it in here if it was mentioned.

Thanks! It's a 2000 5.3. your tune is deff going to be in good hands, Joey is one if the best tuners out there. Plan ahead though, he's booked out on the dyno over a month!!!
