Turbo 6.0 4L80E stall converter
Do i need a billet $900+ torque converter ? Im runing about 10lbs of boost on e85 500ish hp. I dont plan on ever runing any more than that just wondering if i could get away with a regular ~3000-3200 stall converter

Jeep weighs 3000 lbs and has 3.73 28" tires cant get hardly any power with stock converter off the line.

Most will recommend at least a Single Disk. PTC is $750 for a single disk for a 4l80e. Pretty well the cheapest I found. I ended up picking up a PI 3800 Billet Triple Disk only bc I got a real good price on it from someone that mocked it up to their motor and never used it.
However My friend uses Circle D's cheaper Converter in his TH400 behind a 370 turbo car that runs mid 10's. It does the job but he is upgrading since he had it spec'd for an NA build and it was a tad loose. he is showing a small MPH gain on the top end. Hard to say if its converter or turbo. I think its more due to the small .96a/r T4 68mm turbine.
your best bet would be call someone like CircleD. But I am almost positive they will recommend at minimum the Single Disk. As I have emailed around 6 or so companies about one for my build.
