Went to a private track rental at Sacramento raceway with a bunch of GTR buddies. Fresh VHT laid down for about 100' and I switched to M/T et street drag radial 275/50/15s. Even had my front sway bar in place and not power shifting. At 11.5psi max boost, zero boost launch, bogged slightly off the line, not power shifting, stock T56 magnum and modified RXT clutch. 88mm billet t4 turbo, 376ci (ls9 block, stock ls1 crank, good rods/pistons), mast ls3 heads, stock Ls3 intake, 90mm TB, small hyd cam, morel link bar lifters, ID1650s, Holley Domjnator EFI e85. First few passes the track was awesome then the VHT wore off and temps dropped a bit. Next time out 2 step and more boost. Has around 300rwhp left in it. Under 1000rwhp at this setting. I have run 20psi before at a 1/2 mile event in 5th and it feels crazy!

Nice run. That is my favorite engine swap car. I was looking into doing an RX-7 but with the emission and safety ****'s I decided to go with an older car that is exempt. Still not sure if that was the right choice after seeing how your car runs.

I love that year of RX-7 and it looks like it flies....

DUDE! That is incredible. Great work. Can't wait to see it in the 8s. Makes me miss my RX7 so bad.

It's about 3100lbs with me in it. Precision 8847 BB with billet wheel. Thx for the thumbs up! Next time out we'll have the 2step working and it should potentially run some high 8s. There is a lot more power left to play with. You can hear the turbo finally light up a couple hundred feet off the line... Then it really moves out in 4th. That video was my 1st pass off the trailer. Got out of the groove near the finish line and it drifted a little left once I let off the accelerator so I just went with it. That pass was only a 1.69 60'

That trap speed is good for a full second faster in the quarter.
With a little practice and some adjustments to the tune/2-step/technique, you could get an 8-second pass with very little effort.

Wow amazing results and amazing that the Magnum is keeping up at that power level. Guess the fact that you arent leaving off the line like a bat crazy beast is helping....minimizing drive train shock.

That MPH is getting it done! It will be fun to see how much time it picks up with a good launch.

that car is light so the magnum trans should be good..i think there hp ratings are for a 3600 to 3700lb car...what rear gear are you running?
