wrapping up my turbo install, do i need/what gears?
stock cube
243 heads
mahle -16cc pistons
9.0:1 compression
t56
ford 9 inch rear
on3 78/76 turbo
currently have 4.11's in the rear, i obviously know these will be useless with boost. My question is do i need to have the proper gear installed before i get it tuned? I understand a lower gear will help me spool alot quicker but is it needed for tuning purposes? What do you guys recommend for gears? not a daily driver and will see the track a few times a year and mainly some weekend cruising. I was leaning towards a 3.50 gear. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I had asked this question a few months ago in a local facebook group.
I was flooded with answers saying a gear change shouldn't effect tune whatsoever (other than speedo) so you should be 100% fine having the car tuned with the 4.11 gear

You can get it dyno tuned and swap gears later. The difference won't be much.
The biggest difference will be on the street. The gears and street will load the turbos more and you might end up building boost a good bit earlier. Just make sure that part of your map is close enough so that you're prepared for this.
