Default dynoed my 5.3l turbo motor N/A

I know how did you do it without the turbo! Had someone interested in the long block. Deal feel through. Put a victor jr on it with a 6ls 6012 box and a set of dyno tech headers. I was very surprised at the power it made.
With 25 degrees of timing. 514 hp@6300 and 489ftlbs @5000.
This is a stock bottom end 5.3l flat tops, with a custom grind comp cam in it. BTR platinum spring kit w / titanium retainers. Truion upgrade. EBay head studs and felpro mls head gaskets. Standard JY stuff. Just thought I'd share it with you guys. Could have played with the timing curve a little more and could've put some more fuel in it. But i was out of time. Let know what you think.

500 HP doesn't seem unreasonable on an engine dyno.
A stock 320 HP L33 on an engine dyno with no accessories and an electric water pump puts out about 360 HP.

Man, these LS motors can move some air. That's almost 100hp/1liter... impressive, especially from a junkyard built V8.

With stock heads and only spinning it to 6300rpm I'd consider it pretty generous from a 5.3!

Yeah that's pretty awesome numbers coming from a NA 5.3l. Would still make 400+ to the wheels

pretty strong 5.3 looks like it was still gaining power at 6300.

Nice job!
So is it safe to say if you double atmosphere at around 15 ish psi it would do close to 1000fwhp? Provided the fuel system supported it.

Wow, seems really generous. You should check and see what it makes on the chassis dyno NA as well to compare. Should make around 410rw thru an auto

Pretty impressive, seems like it was still making power at 6300. Did you rev it out any higher? What heads were on it? Also interested in the cam specs.

Thanks for posting the cam specs. Why so much advance on the cam? Just curious.

I had a 4th Gen Fbody with a 9.2:1 LM7 equipped with 706 heads, LS1 intake, stage 2 cam and 1 3/4 long tubes made 395 to the tire through a T56 and a 10 bolt...

I would say those numbers aren't too far off...

Curious to the thought proccess on that camshaft...must've been planning a pretty small turbo.

This motor was or will go into my 5000lb mud truck. Turbo is a s475 83mm turbine 1.10t6. The cam was what the guy at comp ground up for it.
I didn't turn it any harder because it started to lay over. And I had a guy looking to buy the long block so I didn't see the point of beating it up on the dyno.
