Can anyone recommend a cable throttlebody bracket for the ls3 intake with the stock throttle cable.
Also I need the different o-rings for my injectors for the ls3 intake. The ones that came on the injectors for very loosely in this intake. It's about ready for its first start. I need to run vacuum lines and pcv stuff and it's ready to run.

Shiddd, you don't need no throttle cable to bust it off. Let dem o rings ride, they will be aight! Post up a vid.

I think I'm going to go with this bracket.

I made my throttle bracket took about 1/2 hour, and at that price i'd do it again...

Knocked out a couple small things today. Installed the knock sensors in the sides of the block as well as made an extension harness for them. Went through routing wires and making sure none are touching any hot parts or to close. Put the new slip yoke on the driveshaft and installed that. Then I pushed the car out for a serious cleaning of the garage. Tools scatters all over and just plain messy so not it's all back to organized and clean.

So tried to do a test fire today. Didn't go so well. These p.o.s. aftermarket fuel rails suck. They don't hold the injectors at exactly the right angle they are a little crooked causing fuel to spray all over. Not exactly sure what to do about it either

That is VERY odd. Seems like if the rails are bolted to the intake, the angle would be as it should. Did you let it run long enough to see exactly where it was leaking? I ask because I had something similar happen a few months ago, thought it was the injectors.....turned out to be the regulator that was loose.

I'm positive it's coming from around the injectors. I didn't even turn the car over I just let it prime and saw fuel spewing everywhere. I may try to make some new brackets to get the injectors at the proper angle.

I do hope you get the injectors figured out. I have been really looking forward to seeing what your headlight cold air intake and $20 LY6 can do. As I am sure you have been looking forward to it , as well. Keep us posted, sir.

Great progress and everything is coming together nicely. I too had trouble with my fuel system and ended up just using fast rails and making my own lines with nice an fittings. Got tired of fuel leaks. I would say if anything else do not try to save money on the fuel aspect of a build.

I agree 100% Chinese parts on the fuel system just become such a pain in the ***. I will try to get these rails to line up with new brackets but if I can't I will just buy some new rails.

Careful with the china rails... (any aftermarket really). Even if you get the fittings to stop leaking the garbage mounting/retaining plates and hardware like to rattle loose and spit fuel all over. Seen more and a few burn their cars down with aftermarket rails. Making around 1000 crank on the OEM LS1 rails on e85.

The oem injector clips are worth their weight in gold IMO. No need for aftermarket rails for most SBE stuff.

Ya I would go to stock fuel rails if it didn't mean I would have to change my entire fuel system. I will try to get this to work if it doesn't I will redo it all.

Wouldn't this be easier and cheaper than scrapping the setup?

Factory rails are cheap and I'd be willing to bet that the brackets on those wouldn't line up correctly with my ls3 intake either. I will make this work. The rails them selves are fine it's the brackets that are garbage. I'm sure I can fab up some good brackets in a couple hours that will line up properly and be stronger. I plan to use some 1/8 flat bar and mount from the intake bosses rather that the injectors bosses. Then I can incorporate the throttle cable bracket off of the same bracket.

I've had pretty good luck with the Holley rails on my LS1 intake. They are reasonably priced and come with ORB fittings.

My china rails came with the usual O-ring ORB style AN fittings. Then had no beveled receiving edge on the rail itself for the o-ring to seat. So the fitting just smashed the o-ring. These Stat-o-seals work really well to seal if that’s the case.

you can purchase ls3 brackets from texas speed to be used with fast style billet rails. Thats what I did and minus my own mess up they are holding up great. Seat the injectors well and are pretty thick so no movement.

Found some pics of my first car from my high school prom (with my now wife of 3kids) and thought I would share. This is the first time I've seen pics of this car in years it was totaled not long after these pictures were takin when I was tboned by a car at 60mph.
This car was very special to me and was what started my love in this hobby but what also led me to what I would do for a living (painter) It was a beat up pewter car originally and I wanted to paint it so I joined the auto body class at school and fell in love. Shout out to Val the teacher that got me started and saw the talent in me.
