Default 427 LSX CADILLAC CTS-V WAGON (Pics Inside)

Figured out what route I'm going to go 427 lsx iron block. Has anyone ran a ported 1.9 lsa blower with that many cubes? I'm leaning towards selling my blower for the larger 2.3 ZR1. Only bad part that means more down time, right when the weather is just starting to break here so I would like to get the car back up and running again asap.

A bigger cube motor like that, especially one designed and built for boost, is gonna need more volume than the 1.9 can provide, even more than the 2.3 can as well. The 2.3 would be better than nothing but I would he looking into aftermarket units such as Whipple's 4.0L

Stick the lsa blower on it, AND a pair of 88's! Have yourself a 30psi, compound boost Vagon...

I'd also steer to the turbo path, all those cubes and the heavy weight, and the turbos love load lol

The compound boost comment was truly a joke. It would be cool, but never practical.

However, a pair of 80's and either a lingenfelter intercooled intake, or a Holley high ram intake with the a2w intercooler sandwiched between the base and lid. That just seems proper.

Only blower that will suffice is the 4L whipple.

Go luck with your build.

PS. I love me a Vagon. Make it a beast!

A 4L Whipple would be very appropriate given you engine selection. That is one beautiful and clean looking Caddy.

go on ctsvowners.com and you'll find that the fastest still streetable cars on there are running a ported 1.9 and a large shot of nitrous. Meaning high 8's/low 9's.

The lsa blower is no joke when you remove a five gallon bucket of aluminum from it and let it breath through a 102mm throttle body.

No doubt it can be used with great success.

What's the compression and fuel for the iron 427? Who ported the blower?

Thanks guys, it should be a very stout car once I have it back together. I already have a post over on the ctsv owners forum also. I know the two fastest cars in the country have ported 1.9L blowers and they do work even with more cubes than oem.

G force in TX ported my blower.

Not 100% sure on the compression ratio yet. Going to use pump 93, E85 with flex fuel sensor, and Q16 in the stand alone fuel cell while spraying nitrous.

I already have tfs gen x 255 six bolt heads but one chamber needs a little welding with two new valve guides, port job on all runners, all the chambers are getting a little smoothing, getting all new valves/seals, race valve job, milled, and before/after flow graphs.

I would prefer to go the ZR1 route with ID1300 or ID1700's injectors but I'm not sure yet and maybe weld the plate on the blower so I can use my ZR1 lid with nitrous spray bars to save some money in the blower setup since I'm spending so much on the shortblock at this time. I have a Aldo Welds spare tire well ice tank setup with a in tank rule 2700 pump, 12 an line feed/return lines, katech heat exchanger, and upgraded h/c pump up front.

How much power has people made with upgraded fuel pump and the rest completely stock fuel system boost only?

I don't plan to upgrade the whole fuel system until over winter. I'm going to do a fore innovations dual pump and controller, return style with flex fuel sensor.

My nitrous system has a 3 gallon stand alone fuel system with a in tank pump that doesn't have to take away from the engines fuel supply.

How much is a G force ported 1.9L blower and ID1000's worth?

I'll recoup some money once I sell those to put towards the ZR1 and new injectors.

Holy ****, Batman!

Wet nitrous kit with its own tank of Q16 fuel? Yes, please!

What have you done to beef up that Vee-car's glass ***? Big cubes usually equates to big torque, and big torque usually equates to scattered differential parts in a cts-v.
