Hey guys, just wanted to hear what the highest mileage stock 4.8 or 5.3 motor you have boosted. I was given a 4.8 motor that was very well maintained that had exactly 300,000 miles when my father in law swapped it for a "stronger" 5.3 to haul with. I plan on throwing an on 3 turBo on it, small cam some 853 ls1 heads, pac 1218 springs, and put it in my 66 c10 to show him what the "weak" little 4.8 can do. I figured the ring gaps should be about right for boost. Lolol. This motor is very clean with no oil sludge under the valve covers. Just curious what you guys think.

Haven't herd of one that high yet, all the more reason to do it! At this point in its life, it's prob alittle more boost "friendly". Seems like most "budget" builds are around 80/150k miles.

Seasoned motors always take a little more abuse than a fresh one

Under The Valve Covers On This Thing Is SUPER clean. I'm hoping it will hold 500 -600 hp for a while anyway.
