Reline Motorsports website is good for going through and looking at Holley options and prices. Basically for everything the average guys wants, the HP is around 2000 and the Dominator 3500. Add for touch screen or tablet.

So how does the dominator compare to the MS3 gold box? What does the holley offer that the MS3 doesn't and vise versa?

So everything needed to go to the dominator is 3500 ? Just trying to understand, the dominator and engine harness is about $2100.00 so what else would be needed ?

I just switched my Nova over for this reason. Added bonus is having a lot of devices integrated into one unit. Boost control, 2-step, wideband, etc. I like it so far.

I love my holley system, first fuel injected car. Biggest problem I am having is with idle control, I hear it has a lot less management than hp tuners but I feel the benefits more than outweigh the cons. Plus the dash is awesome. Also, my car was carbureted before so I was starting from scratch with everything.

Holley and HPT are miles apart and far from "a few feature" difference. If you like to know everything that is going on in and around your engine all time and also make changes often than buy the dominator. In my experience there are few guys that buy the HP and didn't wish they had upgraded.

Los is the man! If you have the extra few hundred he charges to set it up and teach you, I highly suggest you do it.

Is Carlos a member on this forum? The $200 class he teaches, is it through remote tuning? That formula is extremely impressive!

Yes to the "remote tuning". He will remotely connect to your computer and talk to you while he is working on the tune. Some of the best time and money I have spent on my car. My tune was much better after working with Carlos and I had a much better idea of how to use the Holley and read the corresponding data logs.

I'm happy with my HPT.
It's paid for itself more than 10x over as I'm now tuning professionally. Dodges to be exact.....turbo/blower cars.
For my Nova, the stock ECM is doing well.
But then it's a simple two step foot brake car.
Would love the chance to tune a Holley system. Or a MS system.
I'm sure it's pretty cool.

Stock PCM is working well in my car. Been on the same motor for 3 years and it's an 03 motor.

If I were starting from scratch and had to choose something to run it would probably be MS3 Pro. I have a couple buddy's with MS3 Pro and a couple with the Holley. Seems you get more bang for your buck with MS3.

Can you elaborate on the more bang for your buck? Just looking for an objective comparison between the two. Thanks.

My only real problem with the MS stuff (I ran MS2 before) is you still need 02 controllers.

The self learn on the Holley is fantastic.
Little things I like is the inputs and outputs I can configure just about anyway I like.

I have one big warning light on the dash. It alerts me to over boost, low fuel pressure, high water temp or low oil pressure.

Davis Technologies has worked with Holley and the cost savings on his TC pretty much pays for the Holley ECU.

Do the new MS units still require that controller? I haven't read anything about them needing one..
