No...It was not on fire at any point that I am aware of...

It's what 40 year old, crappy lacquer paint looks like after baking in Alabama sun...

You'll love the Holley system. It'll do pretty much whatever you want.

Gold box is out, Holley is in. Engine is wired.

Holley dash fits the glovebox perfectly.

Totally stealth.

Even have tune switching capabailities to go from stun to kill.

Fixed the leaky stock gas filler. Fuel would spill out on launches before but now the filler is sealed and in the trunk so I'll have room for a trailer hitch behind the license plate.

Got the 90/10 front shocks and trick Springs out and Viking coil overs in. Hopefully she'll still hook but be a lot less dramatic on the launch.

What did you do about a tank vent? Is that cap vented? My Nova sloshes fuel out as well because of the factory cap (probably bad).

Vent in the top of tank. I had a new gas cap that sealed but the gasket tore the first time I opened it. I couldn't have it spilling fuel on the track.

No, already there. It's a tanks inc efi tank that feeds the surge tank.

Dumb question, but what's the purpose of the surg tank-I ran the Holley pump for 3 years, used a sumped tank, had the pump mounted level with the bottom of the sump, for and aft filters, it was bullet proof. Is it just a reservoir for fuel-just curious, lol

Guaranteed fuel flow to rails no matter how violent the launch and no need to worry about fuel level in tank uncovering the pump. Tank feeds the surge tank which is always full and the car can run on that alone for a quarter mile. Also, I really wanted to keep the stock fuel tank appearance from the outside. I didn't want a sump with external pumps. Looking under the car or driving behind it all you see is a stock tank; no clues to what she's capable of.

I want it to look like running 11s would be a miracle.

The gold box betrayed me at lsfest. I've used the Holley before and know how to make it work. It'll give me plenty of inputs so I can add some trick stuff later once she's baseline tuned.

The Holley is in. It will need to be tuned and the boost control solenoid will need to be figured out. Then I will star turning up the boost.
I’ve also installed Viking coilovers in the front to calm the launch down a bit. They should allow better front end control once she starts making some power. They will also drive much better on the street than the 90/10s without the front sway bar. Hopefully I’ll be able to get a couple trips to the track before the end of the year.

For the boost control solenoid, I would consider doing a single 3-port plumbed to top and bottom of the wg.

That’s what I’m doing. Plumbed a boost port into the turbo outlet also for s clean signal.
