Nice, I forget did you swap off a truck intake manifold?

Yeah, I had a truck intake on there previously. The BTR should give me more RPM potential once the exhaust is done.

Drilling oil return holes in the car

She is still a heifer.

So SCT was a disaster for me. First I forgot to open the CO2 bottle, then I thought I had an exhaust cutout fail but it was actually a hose clamp on my cold side causing a boost leak. This was all while fighting an oiling issue where pressure drops around the 1000’ mark on a 1/4 mile pass. I’ve sorted everything out entirely except for the oiling issue. My oil pressure still drops a little at the big end of a 1/4 mile pass and continues to drop some for 3 or 4 seconds after during shutdown. We thought it was holding oil in the top end so we drilled a few holes in the cam valley truss to increase drain back. It helped but didn’t entirely fix the issue. It has me worried since I want to spin this thing up to 8000rpm and test out this new BTR intake. I even added an accusump but that P.O.S. only works sometime (it seems to lose air pressure and it’ll stop pushing out oil).
I’m still going to LSFest. I have some shock valves and springs coming to tighten up the front suspension so I can leave with a little more power, I at least have her in the mid to low 1.3x 60’ range now. I still plan to send it at LSFest, I just wish I were quick enough for the $10K shootout.

Rant over.

On the bright side, I think I finally have a handle on this leaf spring suspension stuff.

I’ll give that a try now that I have the oil draining back to the pan nicely.
