Twin Turbo LS Boat Engine

Thanks, only made it off the trailer for a little play, tuner told me not to go over 3500rpm as not tuned properly yet, actually felt quite lively for having waste gates disassembled for no boost, was great to get it wet anyway. Had a vacuum leak, was the iac unit which is not wired in so screwed it hard out so hole is blocked, thats fixed that. Thanks to everyone who threw there ideas and opinions my way to help me get to this point. I will get some video once tuning is complete

That's really bad, thanks for the heads up. What filters should I change to? Was thinking K&N but I see they aren't all they are cracked up to be and have similar issues.

Something like this, or bigger if you can find one, is what I plan on using. I've even seen some with a little stud to mount a support bracket to on the non turbo end. Not seeing one in my quick search. I'll let ya know if I find it.

What about this, would it have the button inside it?http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-...1113057672.htm

This sound ruff but il say it, what about if I simply drill a hole all the way through button, put a good bolt through with big flat washers and a nylock nut and clamp the button thingy together so it simply cant separate? That would work wouldn't it?

Metal parts on outside falling off arent a concern, it's only if they are inside the filter.

Hell a nut could come loose somewhere, some wiring anything could happen that might allow the turbo to ingest something. It might be rare, but it's a possibility. Filters are cheap
If there were serious space constraints, then yes you could maybe overlook a filter in extreme applications.....with the risks that carries.

Any location really..when you've tons of room for filters, it's just dumb not to run them.
