Default Dyno time- made 721/697, mustang dyno, eBay turbos

Haven't really posted much about my car but got a chance to hit the rollers last night and was pleasantly surprised.

They call the dyno the heartbreaker but I was super happy with how it turned out

Stock lq4
Cut heads (was on a 250 shot last year)
Speed INC tu1.5 cam
Truck manifolds
eBay 66/64 open t4 .81 (iirc)

First hit on 10/11psi on my street tune made 621whp

Turned the meth and boost controller on and ended up making 721/697 on 16 psi and 11 degrees. mustang numbers, corrected. From what I'm told, that's 792whp on a dyno jet

Went to turn it up more but realized I was already 94% duty cycle with a walbro 450 and 80lbers. I think the stock Bmw fuel line is a big restriction. 50psi base pressure.

I love it! Interested in the details. I know how much work it is to get a single to fit in the E36. Kudos to you for making two fit!

Very nice! What fuel, trans and what did you do for a rear? I like the BMW's but was worried about what to do for rear.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/252252535635?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Car uses a built stock BMW diff (4 clutch pack, 60% lock up), all urethane bushings, adjustable control arms, ect. Ive got a set of 900lb springs and adjustable rear shocks.

The M's have braced rear subframes and much bigger axles then the other models.

Car was on 93 pump and 70meth/30 water mixed by weight.

t56 trans, monster clutch and flywheel (which im surprised it held)

I put the motor together last year intended for turbo, but realized it was going to be alot of work considering the car was an all stock shell, so i ended up yanking the heads and cutting them .035 to get the compression up and then put it on a 250 plate kit.

Then i got sick of filling bottles, and i tried fitting a big single but it would have been alot more work i feel like.

The full mod list is
LQ4
Cut 317's
ebay headstuds
ls9 gaskets
ls6 intake manifold
aeromotive rails
seimen deka 80's
Gold box
VS racing BOV's and gates
CX racing intercooler
griffin rad with volvo fan
walbro 450

Car made 390/390 on the motor, never dyno'ed with the spray but it was jetted for 250 with a Nano kit.

Car is on a 245 hoosier radial and its not working. They are already dead and its only been turbo for 1000 miles. Wont even hook 4th on 8psi.

So last night i ordered a set of true 275's. This chassis is pretty rusty, so i dont mind rolling and pulling the quarters.

I have an all stock, 1 owner automatic, immaculately clean chassis that im going to switch to when i get this car sorted. (full exhaust, ect.)

Thank you all for the kind words. Im pretty pumped. I usually dyno on dynapacks, which would have been like a million horse power, so im stoked.

dburt, did you make any timing changes on the dyno? Reason I ask is I have a lq9 and also run 11* of timing as I figured it would be safe. Also spraying a bit of 50/50. I do have 93 octane around here thankfully (for now anyway)

Nice numbers! That thing must be a handful on the street. Any idea what it weighs as is?

LOL we did dyno with open gates, the exhuast gets done this weekend. The dyno was kind of a spur of the moment deal

As for the timing, on the hit (pk tq) its about 10, ramping to 11. I tried adding another degree but only picked up 8HP, so i took it back out. Your timing should be similar assuming the turbo size and cam are similar because my cut heads bring to about 10-1 like your lq9.

I know when these cars are 6 cylinder turbo, they weigh about 3600.

Opening day for Lebanon valley is next saturday, im going to try to get the car there, and ill get a full race weight then.

But yea, the exhaust needs to get done, the turbos arent even supported yet.

Interesting, wonder if I should just run 10* since the gains aren't that big. No reason to push it any higher for those marginal gains. Keep her alive!!!

that was my rational also, but every setup is different, you gotta get it on a dyno.

Real nice build, I like the way you done your turbos. Going to try that on my s10, looks like that would help steering shaft clearance. She's making power!

Thanks brotha. they are just the normal truck AC delco wires. I have those thick sleeves that are like a Chinese finger trap and also the stock metal sleeves for the boots. With the wrapped manifolds, it seems to be working. I've done 4-5 2hour trips with out issue at this point.

I kind of wanna strap it a DJ or packs and really post up some glory numbers, maybe eventually.

As of right now, I can't get the car to hook on gate pressure so it's all pretty worthless lol.
