SSZ 07-24-2016 04:31 PM

Love the car. Looking forward to more of the build. Doing any upgrades to the transmission?

SSZ 07-24-2016 04:35 PM

Wow! Just noticed the pics of your new parts after I posted. That kit looks sweet!

Slips on with one hand, just needs clamped. Since this is a sponsored kit and the first one, mine is not clamped, Jon does plan to revise this so don't let this concern anyone not able to get their hands on a ac Hose clamper.

im liking this build

Heavy H.P. 07-25-2016 04:42 AM

In for the subs. Nice build you got there. Looks real good. Can't wait to see what she does.

mcmuscle3 07-25-2016 07:16 AM

Engine will remain SBE for now, also will stay stock heads and cam. Clutch is stock, tranny and diff are stock but it does have a Hoosier dte brace.
This is a complete baseline test for a stock car. I'm sure my clutch will slip, and I'm sure I will break things, but I'm testing it with this kit and will upgrade accordingly.

dr_whigham 07-25-2016 11:56 AM

I'm happy for you, but aggravated as hell also, lol. I begged and PLEADED with them to make a C5 kit. By the time it's ready I've moved on to a C6Z...

Kit looks AWESOME I must say!! Hats off to Jon and crew for bringing it to fruition! Looks gorgeous!

Rise of the Phoenix 07-25-2016 12:53 PM

Looks like a high quality kit. Nice looking C5 too.

Huron supplied nice heat shield wrap for wires/hose.
Not sure where they are suppose to go but I used some here. I will buy more if it needed else where.
Losen the wires and just play around with them. This gave me plenty of room.

Everything Looks fantastic. Jon and Casey are great helped me out with my kit. Cant wait to see this together!

LilJayV10 07-28-2016 10:06 PM

high temp heat sleeving/wrap, plastic zip ties....just something to think about :)

I'll be watching this closely. can't wait to see your results and how well the kit is designed.

mcmuscle3 07-29-2016 08:31 AM

Yeah, you are right, but that motor mount doesn't see that much. It's on the cold side of the turbo, but not close enough to melt :) thanks for the point out though!
