Hey guys I have been researching and researching so I figured I would just ask. I have a 408ci stroker motor and will be running a t4 flanged turbo. I am obviously leaning towards the s480 chassis since I really can not spend over a grand on a turbo. That being said and knowing I am looking for something around an 88mm turbo to reduce backpressure as much as I can would there be any other turbos that you guys would recommend?

Or someone sell me a t4 s480 for around $800 and I won't have to worry about it anymore lol.

Vs Racing sells an S-480 clone that's probably within your price race. Denmah has used it on a 6.0 to make 800 whp on his Colorado w/ a T4 to T6 adapter. I wouldn't run a T4 on that many cubes.

Apex turbos on Ebay will build you a billet S476 or 80 for around a grand with the 87/96 exhaust wheel in a 1.25 T4. Shoot him a PM. You have to specifically request the large exh. wheel version.

I'm running their 76mm compressor version on a 370 cubes and it makes quite a bit of power. Trapping about 160 at 3100lbs at 18psi. I'd def go with the 80mm on a 408.

Could also go with VSracings $790 S480 and order a 1.25 T4 housing machined for the larger wheel from forcedinductions. (think it runs about $250)
