Curious why you did a hobbs switch and not use the holley to trigger the pump under boost, it's just one wire to the relay, plus you have three variables to control how it triggers the pump. Unless I'm missing something on your build. Just a thought, that's all.

I just did mine yesterday as I ran out of pump last weekend. Los helped setup the output, took him 1 minute.

To be honest, I thought of that but I just wasn't sure how to do it. The Hobbs is within my realm of understanding so I went with it for now. Lol.

When everything is finished on the car and I am ready to try some real boost I will be contacting Los again to fine tune some parameters for me like boost controller setup, 2 step, and some safety parameters.

The Chevelle got put on the back burner when I bought back the Camaro. A lot of the parts got pirated for this build. Lol. Hoping to get back on that build this winter!

It drives great on the street actually. Very mild until you stomp the pedal and cruises very well in stop and go traffic as well as highway. (Drove the car 45 miles one way with half being on I-90 at 65mph) first time I took it to the dragstrip. I don't have any videos just cruising but I will probably get some this year once my axles come in.

What year Chevelle do you have?

That is exactly how mine is setup. Holley output (+12v) to a relay. Mine goes to my vaporworx kit. When car sees boost, it triggers the relay to start the second pump that mimics the first.

Just read this thread and excellent work on this car. Love it. Moving out and from the sound of it, it's docile as a driver as well.

It takes time. I went way too far on the Chevelle build or it would have been done a long time ago. The Camaro was much more "Get it DONE" type of attitude because I didn't want 2 non running cars. Lol

I will most likely do that with mine as well once I get back into the wiring to add the boost controller and other things.

Thank you. It was a fun project and it's a great driver. Can't wait to crank up the power and hopefully max out my cage cert! Lol

Well I ended the season with a best pass of 1.31 60' 9.02@150mph. Only clean passes were on wastegates only with C02 turned off. I was hoping to get a clean pass before I took it apart for upgrades but it wasn't in the cards. After I tore car down and sold parts a member here mentioned he had the same symptoms and after checking some logs noticed my PID settings were most likely the issue. Dome pressure was all over the place. I guess we will find out next year!

Thank you. I should have had it this year but I am new to this EFI stuff so I automatically went searching for mechanical/electrical issues when the car was breaking up. Live and learn!

So now that the car is down for the winter I started my upgrades.

Sold the BW cast wheel 366's and bought a pair of Forced Inductions billet 476's, Switching over from A2A to A2W, finally taking the heavy stock front seats and back seat out and replacing the fronts with race seats, cut off the front frame horns and removed the stock rad support to fab a tubular front section and changing my steel w/mufflers to aluminum 3.5" exhaust over to full dual 4" aluminum exhaust with no mufflers. Also selling the Holley 160lb injectors and buying Bosch 210lbs injectors and adding an in tank 450 Walbro pump to the 4303 external pump I already have.

FYI, it is run through the Holley now along with my bump box and boost controller.

I don't know how I missed this thread, I read a lot of folk's thread when I started to plan my '67.

So I'm guessing you are ladder bar? How did you like the Hoosiers? Mine is rolling on 31 x 18.5 sportsman tires at the moment.

Any idea what RPMs you are doing thru the traps? Where do you shift?

Don't feel bad, I had a hard time finding the thread again to answer your reply. Lol.

Yes sir, ladder bar car. I loved the Hoosiers. Ended up cutting a string of rock bottom 1.3's on them, the best being a 1.31.

I later went 9.0@150 and I crossed the traps at 6580 rpm. I shift at 7k rpm.

You mean launching? I had some suspension issues last year but all fixed now. Just needed some fine tuning.

Wondering what hole they are, running uphill, even, or down? I have a Nova buddy with ladder bars been in the 1.teens on radials he said to start out even.

Got any pics to show off rear 31 x 18.5s? Those are bias do you need a tube or do they hold air?
