Thank you for the compliments guys.

I am putting the factory dash back in place with my 7" Holley screen. I bought an aftermarket dash cluster replacement from Jegs that is flat where I mount the screen. Not sure if you can see it in this picture from a couple years ago or not.

I have the holley screen insert too, they are nice. I'm staying stock dash for now but was tempted to change it out.

Got the firewall seam sealed and riveted on, decided to make the 2 firewall extensions out of aluminum also and riveted on, engine in, headers on, turbos mounted and intercooler on. Going to make a small support under the intercooler and order some 90 degree fittings for the rear of my fuel rails.

Had to order 2 new aluminum 4" downpipe flanges so I can make new pipes that swing up over the shock mounts.

I was happy to see I have a ton of room to get an engine diaper on and off without lifting the engine up.

Well, I took the summer off from working on the car and bought an Atomic Orange 08 Vette to cruise around so not much in the way of updates, but I did sell the engine last night and ordered a new engine today! Went with another Thompson Motorsports mill, this time the 1800hp rated OUTLAW setup with Frankenstein M311 heads. Hoping to turn up the wick and see what she does by next Spring. I will post some newer pictures when I get the chance.

Agreed. Well, the car was showing signs of rust and wear from sitting outside the last 13 years so I decided since the car was already so far apart and I do NOT want to take it apart again it was a good time to get the body done. I bought all new STEEL body panels, (it's amazing how much bodywork and massaging new panels take to be straight) all new AMD glass and new chrome for the car. My buddy Dan also made the factory steel dash removable for the future so I can access wiring and such without laying on my back inside the car. I am going with a 315 radial for the track and some 29x18.50 M/T drag radials for the street so I do not have to cut the new quarters. Also, with the speeds the car will be going this year I thought now is a good time to go to a race style rear wing!

I decided to upgrade the intercooler to a Shearer Fab 2000hp A2W so once the car comes back from the bodyshop I am hopefully dropping it off to my buddies shop that did the cage and chassis for me to build new cold side piping, weld in the EGT bungs and some other small details.

Since the car still had the original fuse box and hacked up wiring I also decided to upgrade to a newer style fuse box and add a bunch of sensors to the Holley like EGT, shock, driveshaft, etc. so it's off to my other buddies shop to wire it up this time.

I did all this stuff myself the last 2 times and it all worked perfectly, but I wanting everything to look top notch this time.

Once I get farther along I will try to keep this thread a little more up to date!

Thank you John. You mean the Holley dash or the actual metal dash? The Holley will be the same as before, just weatherpack plugs. The metal dash Dan cut as you see in the pictures, then added a strip of metal behind each side with nutserts. Pop the pad off, 6 button head screws and it should pop out! Hopefully it won't have to come out very often, but it will be helpful if it does.
