Nice gains and total power. Got any blower RPM left. Think you can crack 1000 with the next mods you are planning?

Very cool thing to be a part of. Did Procharger give you any kick back for the testing ?

Default Cam question

I have a lq4 that I'm putting a ls3 top end with ls9 head gaskets and looking at cam options and I was wondering if your blower cam will work with this set up as I am going to be supercharging with the future and it is a 6 speed car and looking to go D1X in the future sorry to go off topic a bit won't let me send you a message
Thanks in advance

Yes it will work great with your combination. Years ago we used this cam in an 08 Corvette LS3. With Kooks 1-7/8 headers and a ProCharger D-1SC at 8.4 psi, it made 700 rwhp. Thanks. Bob

It's got plenty left. This thing flows so much more than the D1SC. It's like having a F1 in a D1 package.

Sounds like a pretty sweet blower. Looking forward to what your new build does.

I can't wait to get the clutch swapped and pulley down to see what it does then. Should pick up a good bit in the mid range being spun harder like the D1SC was. Then I'll finish up the build. Pistons arrived a couple days ago.

D1X looks like a great option.

Bob - I'm still looking at bolting this on my 11:1 TEA LS6 headed 346 with the FAST 102. I plan to pick up some Diamond dished pistons and Compstar rods and bring my compression down to 10:1... 93 + meth. Or I might do a flat top and keep compression near 11:1 if the meth injection does it's job.

I think I'd be at 700rwhp at 10psi? Motor makes 470rwhp through an unlocked 4000 stall now and will be switching to a triple disk 3600 stall... Might even be able to clear 850-900 with it turned all the way up especially with the higher compression?

Can we get the D1x with the helical gears? Any guesses on what I could expect at a nice safe 7 lbs of boost on a cam only ls1 with an auto trans in a GTO? It will be with 93 and meth and the cam is a 228r so not designed for boost. I want a street friendly setup that can make 700 rwhp through a stalled auto when I get a forged bottom end 347 and up the boost to 12 to 15 lbs.

Detox can you give us some more details? I thought it lost power until about 6200 rpm?

Not sure how much whp your auto would lose on the dyno but I would think 800-850whp with the D1x turned all the way up on a 6 speed should be a piece of cake.

1000+whp with this D1x seems like slam dunk with detoxx new setup

hey Detoxx,

do you have a dyno sheet with the old D1SC curve on top of the new D1X curve?

I'm curious how they look on top of each other to see the relative shape and how the top end looks. The 15* lower IATs and the way the new X technology just pulls like crazy at top end with basically no mid/low end loss is super promising.

Detoxx are you running E85? Or just 11:1 and 93+meth?

And I'm okay with making a little less torque down low. Makes it easier to manage on the street. And look... he's still at 500rwtq @ 3500... that power curve is excellent for the track.

As of now the D1SC has a slight advantage on it up until the higher rpm's but we think that is because it's at its limit where as the X still has room to go. Larger inducer, more cfm, and even though PC doesn't list the mad impeller speed higher it for sure is. Once the new build is complete we have a smaller pulley for it to max it out and see what it does.

I run it all. My car has a flex fuel setup so I can run 93/meth or e85/meth. It's stock 10.7:1 compression. The new build will be over 11.
