My 6.0L turbo build
Hey guys I'm gonna do a turbo build and would like some outside opinions. Okay , so I'm in the gathering/planning stages of this build, my block is an 06 lq4 that's getting the treatment right now. It'll be .030" over, forged LSA crank 58x, LS9 head gaskets, 6.125" Lunati rods and Wiseco -11cc pistons. 9.2:1 CR, BW s475, 15 PSI, 4" intercooler, water/meth, built LSA heads, sheet metal intake, 102mm TB, comp cams grind 233*/235* @.050" .619/.621 , 120# Holley injectors, controlled by Holley hp efi system.
What kind of power do you guys think this would throw down?? I'm shooting for 850-950whp.
Car is a 3rd gen 91 Z/28 Camaro tee top, 6 point cage with full BMR suspension and K-member, dropped 1.5", Quick Performance ford 9" 31 spline axles, 3.50 rear gear, TH400, 3800 stall, 275/40-17 Mickey Thompson street et 2 rear tires. Fuel is supplied by dual 255 in tank pumps(for now anyway). Oh and car with me and a full tank of fuel weighs just over 3200#'s.

Cool build, would like to see some pics-I don't know much about turbo sizing,
but if you haven't bought the injs. yet, and you are shooting for that much RWHP, the money would prob be the same to jump up to 120's-I know people make good power on 80's, just a thought-I have run 120's on 2 diff cars and no drivability issues. I data logged my last outing, i'll see if I can find the % the injs. were running @ 13 PSI.

So finally I got my short block back from the machine shop! Should've had this done a long time ago but life kind of got in the way. The machine shop did a great job assembling the short block and setting all clearances and ring gaps. I spent the past weekend putting on the heads, rocker arms, setting valves, front and rear covers and oil pan. So far I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out. Just got to get back to work and get the next wave of stuff. Hoping to have it started in the next month or so, we'll see how it goes. Changed some other stuff on the car too got rid of the th400 and 3800 stall, gonna build a stout 4L80e with most likely a 3400 stall, switched from 31 spline to 35 spline on the rear end and will redo the entire fuel system with a Racetronix system that's plug n play.

A stock 6.0 could hit those numbers with just boost, a cam would make it a lot easier.
Youve spent a good bit of money on a lot of stuff that isn’t necessary but it’s your cash. Should be a fun build, I have a 87 TA with a turbo 5.3 and at about 650hp it’s crazy. Make sure you run Mickey Thompson’s on the back, I had to put in 275 MT streets to get the *** end to stick after 8psi.
Running dual pumps in the stock tank isn’t fun. I run a walbro 450 and it’s been keeping up. I would of kept the dual 255s and pumped to a fuel surge tank, ran dual 340s from the tank to the motor and then let the 255 pump gas to the surge tank at low pressure.
Also chuck that aluminum intake in the trash, get a NNBS truck intake and Ull make a lot more power under 5k, sheet metal intakes don’t come alive till like 6500-7k and the meth isn’t going to want to make the hard 90 into the runners that are protruding into the plenum like an inch.

My nova is very similar......005 over 6.0 ls3 heads s475 sheet metal Intake , meth .....etc. it's a handful on the street even turned down to 12psi, at 17psi it will blow 315's off just rolling into the throttle in 4th gear/65mph.

Not too much. Been working in camp a bunch. I got rid of the rubber braided hose and went with all Teflon hose and fittings. Cut the upper and lower rad support and got the radiator where I want it. Ordered up Hooker turbo manifold and crossover for a 4l80e. Got my circle d converter 258mm pro series. Transmission is finally getting some work done to it. Was a super busy summer for my builder. Still need to get a 3rd member so I can finally put the rear end in and drop the fuel tank to install the pumps. Sold my Holley HP unit and gonna get a Dominator ECU in the next couple months. Basically just a money thing now I never use credit only cash

Well shoot life finally tossed me a bone and I finally got my car up and running and out for a drive this past weekend!! I had some bullshit issues with this Racetronix double pump harness which was a mini nightmare because it was wired up wrong.
But finally time to get it all broken in and get at it. I took a little video after going for a rip on the freeway. Just checking the trans fluid. I think it sounds pretty good and runs good fit the first run out the door. What do y'all think??
