Got some more done, driveshaft tunnel raised and built a box to give the rear end some room. Bummed the stock tank won't go back in but found a universal steel one that will fit in the stock spot and allow me to reuse the stock filler neck. Don't want to go through the hassle of all the safety requirements of a fuel tank above the trunk floor panel. Going to knock out the cage next.

I would get rid of that braided flex exhaust couple on the passenger side by the oil pan. Don't be surprised if it comes a part on you.

I've had good luck with those flex pipes as long as they dont have an internal braid, but we'll see.

I bent up half of an 8.50 cage to tie the back of the car back together, tied in the 4 link mounts too. Went back and forth on doing the full cage but decided I can add it in the future if he decides too. Found a perfect 14 gallon steel tank to go back in the stock spot and stay under the floor, even get to plumb the stock filler neck back it for super street car status. Added a small sump for the 044's.

Nice work!

Flex couplers have been fine for all the kits I build... I removed the inner mesh on them for years, no problems.

Going back together for the last time I hope. My father in law who owns the car is pretty handy with a rattle can, turned out pretty decent. The cage was done with brush on hammer paint, probably wont use it again.
